She told me the first of many lies.

She thinks she can keep me out of her world, but she's in over her head and needs a protector. Watching her, being near her, it gives breath to something dark inside me. Something primal and forbidden. Forbidden to me.

Because in six months, I'll be a priest.

And she complicates things.

I really enjoyed the last third of this book, but everything before that, it was okay. I was a little bored in parts, and if it wasn't for the fact I wanted to know what happened, I would have given up on Lina and Damon Lina was, well, stupid. She thought she was in control of a situation, she didn't recognize the danger around her, and she was unwilling to reach out for anyone. She made bad choice, after bad choice, after bad choice. I really didn't see a lot of redeeming qualities in her. I didn't dislike her, she was just there and a way to move the story along Damon was interesting enough as a character, but he bemoaned the same things over and over again. In the end, he took control of his situation, and that is when I really started to like the book. Before that, he wasn't a dark and confused character, he was a whiny stick-in-the-mud I felt some of the sparks between them, and their scenes together were definitely hot, but not great. It was an overall okay read for me

I have only one word to describe this book: Raw. The story that unfolds is emotionally packed. Lina is a woman in the making. She is stronger than she knows. But Lina has a problem....she acts before she thinks which leads her to into all kind of situations, some that she really shouldn't be a part of. Damon, a man who has fallen from grace. A man on the run from himself seeking refuge in the church but that isn't where he finds his peace of mind, it is in love. This story made me back up a few times where I had to take a breather because I needed a moment to catch up to the characters. This book is charged full of anticipation, danger, sex, lies, conspiracy's. You are sucked in from page one and left breathless for find out what happens next. This story will leave you on the edge both mentally, emotionally along with the characters. You are taken along for a ride that you wont forget any time soon.

Disgraced By: Natasha Knight ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Review by Kristie K Natasha Knight brings a tale so deliciously sinful, a fall from grace never felt so good… The sinfully seductive second installment in the Amado Brothers series, Disgraced tells the story of the second Amado brother, Damon, and the young Lena Guardia. Damon is in New York City for seminary business, and is 6 months away from becoming ordained as a priest when a business meeting puts him on a collision course with the girl he could never forget. Lena Guardia is supposed to be in Chicago at school, but her family secrets drove her to leave Chicago and search out her answers in New York City. Those answers have led her into nothing but trouble, and when Damon finds her being attacked in the seedy underbelly of the subway, he begins to see just how dangerous her situation really is. Unable to stay away from one another, the stakes grow ever higher as the madman stalking her plays his final card. Will Damon fall from grace to save the woman he can’t forget? This book was amazing. For the smokin’ hot cover, to the vague but arresting blurb, this book had me hooked from the beginning. Ms. Knight’s development of the characters was thorough, and she gave them a realism and depth that a lot of authors miss. I absolutely adored the naivety and innocence of Lina, the goodness that she seemed to emanate from her every pore, even in the most dire of situations. She never lost herself, not completely, and her heartbreak…oh, her heartbreak…it was palpable. Damon was both halves of the same avenging angel, dark and light. His belief was a deep seated part of him, but he also housed a darkness…a darkness he both craved and abhorred…a forbidden desire he is not allowed. These characters were captivating, real, and wonderful. The plot and storyline were not entirely unique, but contained twists and turns that made it distinctive, and the execution was incredible. I had a hard time putting this book down, and will be counting the days till the next release. Kristie K
