Here is storytelling at its finest by two well-known North Carolina boys who are no longer with us Bob Terrell, author, columnist, humorist, and reporter who usually wrote his stories down and Marcellus Buchanan, who more often told his verbally.
These are tales about people at their best and worst both simple folk and people in high places. Mostly, the stories concern those men and women who were in the public s eye because they worked in our legal, judicial, or political systems. Disorder in the Court! contains dozens of hilarious stories from courthouses, lawyers offices, and police stations all across the great state of North Carolina.

Sometimes when cousins get together sparks fly. In the case of these cousins, Bob Terrell and Marcellus 'Buck' Buchanan, that spark kindles laughter. Drawing from their own experiences and tales contributed by several North Carolina judges, Terrell and Buchanan give us a slice of North Carolina humor. Both grew up in Sylva, North Carolina, but each went in different directions when it came to career choices. Terrell draws from his experience as a writer for the Asheville Citizen-Times, Buchanan from his experience as a Superior Court Solicitor for North Carolina. Together they bring to light humorous tales of the legal arena. Some are real and some are just tall tales. Which is which is left to the reader. This is an excellent combination of the written and oral forms of storytelling. A must for those who think that the legal system is cold and dry. No kidding!
