About the Author
Jennifer Doswell received bachelor degrees in sociology and psychology from the University of California at Riverside and a master’s degree in social work from California State University. As a licensed clinical social worker (L.C.S.W.), she has had the opportunity to work with many different populations, including patients from 24 to 94 in a forensic state hospital for the mentally ill. She also serves as a therapist working with foster children and teenage boys on probation in group home settings. Previously, she had opened her own private psychotherapy practice serving children, teens, and adults. Despite her dedicated career, writing has been her passion for years. She’s excited to have the opportunity to share this passion with the world while also exploring important psychological and sociological themes in childhood. Ms. Doswell is working to shine a light on several children’s issues including shyness, body image, distraction, bullying, and more. Distracted Annie is the first book in a new series hoping to explore these and many other childhoodrelated issues.
