About the Author

New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans, and laptop, and drove cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend, and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband and daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

## PERFECTION. Loved this book so much. I hesitated because I hated "Disorderly Conduct" (Charlie's story), but so glad I picked this up. This hero was magnificent. Hot, hot, hot. Highly recommended.

I’ve wanted to see Danika and Greer together since I first met them in the 2nd book (I have the first but haven’t cracked it open – yet). Both are so determined to succeed at everything – and the chemistry that fairly sizzles off the page between them is exciting. But there are problems – on both sides. Danika thrives on being the girl with every answer – stepping in to help her friends, her family, and now as she trains to be a cop – society as a whole. It’s not exactly selfless – she seems to be driven by a need to be useful so people WILL want her around and be happy to see her. Unfortunately, she’s unwilling and unable to ask for similar help in return – and her days are often filled with extracurriculars that leave little time for her. Greer is still reeling (and grieving) for the partner that was killed in the line of duty – a partner who was just pulling him from his driven, unemotional and by the book ALWAYS approach to the job and his life. Devastated by his mother’s abandonment and then discovering her nearby with a new family and not waiting to see the reasons why, he’s scared of letting anyone close to him because they will, in his experience, leave him. It’s made him rigid and buttoned-up, even Danika refers to him as the Grim Reaper – but his stellar rise in the force, and his determination to turn out the best prepared recruits make him a serious taskmaster. Of course, over the course of the series there have been conflicts and scuffles, and Danika is determined to show him her best, struggling for every compliment no matter how meager- but she’s wary. And angry. She doesn’t forget his comments about Jack – and she can’t abide those who mistreat her friends or family. Yet there’s something about Greer that poses a challenge – and there is no denying her attraction – even as she tries to think of men that are her ‘type’ – more passive, smaller in stature – not quite so MALE. Which Greer is in every sense of the word. So much push and pull – they are drawn to one another even as Greer is utterly terrified that he will lose her and his closing off huge pieces of himself, and not allowing his emotions to come forward frustrates Danika to no end. He’s loving her laugh, her looks and her willingness to dive in and help her friends and family – even as he’s terrified she’s not learned to ask for help, or even rely on another…..something that could get her killed on the job. Two people – scared to trust in one another, in emotions, or even to rely upon their connection as they have ways of behaving that have worked well (or reasonably so) for years. But – when they do act on that attraction – O M G! I love a dirty talker and Greer fits that bill perfectly – solidly alpha and in control: their interplay is delicious and delightful – and the fact that he can listen to a single voicemail from her 19 times? SO Freaking Sweet… he wants to have her – to be with her and live his life in color – he just can’t abide the chance that it could all go away. And then it does. Or he tries to return to life as it was – and he can’t. Fortunately Danika – with a healthy dose of friends, family and a knock-down when wills collide moment happens – with a few grand gestures and a recognition of their need – the story comes together to make their happy ending – in all the best ways. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review

Danika and Greer turned in to a very guilty pleasure for me. I did not get to book one of this series but I did read book two. This one gave me all that I felt like I was missing in book two. I loved Danika she was spunky, brash, and headstrong. She gave Greer a run for his gun. She was all that he needed and then some. She was all that. S-E-X-Y . . . P-A-N-T-Y . . . M-E-L-T-I-N-G . . . Go read this one. Have a cold drink and a fan nearby. I loved Disturbing His Peace. These two had been dancing around the other for so long that once they got together the chemistry scorched the surroundings. Best of the series thus far . . . .

Tessa Bailey never fails to provide a sexy and fun romance! In this third entry in The Academy series, Lieutenant Greer Burns has tried really hard to keep his eyes front and center when it comes to one of his soon to graduate students, Danika Silva. But when she does something foolish and he ends up coming to her rescue, he puts her on probation reporting to him - now who's the one who is foolish? That's definitely not going to help him fight his attraction to her! But it's mutual, and they soon discover it's a lot more fun to go with the flow than to fight it. Ms. Bailey's the queen of dirty talkers so it's no surprise Greer can get Danika (and the reader!) hot under the collar just by his words, never mind how talented his mouth is otherwise. Danika is the kind of woman who never turns down a request for help so she's constantly busy doing things for her family and friends. With Greer, she is happy to let him take control and it makes for some super steamy love scenes. Greer has some issues with commitment, having been abandoned by his mother at a young age, and then seeing his partner die in a shoot-out. If you don't care about someone, they can't hurt you right? This backfires with Danika because he doesn't want to admit that he's falling for her and risks losing her as a result. Fortunately he comes to his senses and the result is a happy ending for this well matched pair.

This is the final book of The Academy series, and I have loved the whole series a lot! So much fun, and with so much heartfelt emotion. Danika Silva is a NYPD police recruit, and she's almost finished at the police academy. She just has a few more weeks, and she'll be an officer. She and her two best friends and roommates, Charlie and Jack, have worked so hard for this and now they're almost there. She only has one real problem: Lt. Greer Burns, her roommate Charlie's older brother, and one of the instructors at the academy. He is too sexy for her own good, but he's also a complete jerk. She has her plate full with her needy family always requesting her time, and her work at the academy. She doesn't have time to moon over the unobtainable Greer. But what would happen if she thought he wanted her too? Lt. Greer Burns is a loner. His mom walked out on him and Charlie when they were kids, and his dad devoted his whole life to police work. Greer and Charlie are now following in his footsteps. Greer lost his partner a few years ago, and ever since he's completely closed himself off from any real, meaningful human interaction. Even with his brother. If he doesn't have anyone in his life, then he can't lose anyone else, right? Makes perfect sense to him. So how dare Danika Silva come into the academy looking all beautiful, and making eyes at him, and getting under his skin? Not only is being with her against academy rules, but against his personal code as well. So, why can't he let her go? Greer and Danika have had MEGA chemistry since the first book in this series. They were always simmering away in the background waiting for their turn in the spotlight. I really enjoyed their interactions and how sassy they always were with each other. Danika wasn't afraid to treat him like any other man, even when other people defer to him in most situations, or steer clear of him altogether. He liked that she wasn't afraid to be herself with him, and they found they had a lot more in common than they could have anticipated. They each fit each other's personalities perfectly in the bedroom. Being on the submissive end of the spectrum was a surprise to Danika, as she's such a take-charge person in the rest of her life. Her family relies on her for everything, and she prefers it that way. She doesn't like to delegate. But Greer gave her a safe place where she knew he would take care of her and she never had to worry about anything. I really enjoyed their dynamic. As always, the side characters were fantastic, especially the main characters from the 2 prior books. Danika and Greer's love was hard fought. They both had issues that had to be dealt with, especially Greer, and I loved the ways their friends and family stepped up to help them. And how they helped each other. The black moment in this book was particularly painful, and to be honest, I could have done with a little more groveling on Greer's part. Danika was in the wrong too, in her own way, but I felt Greer owed her even more of an apology than she got. That's not to take away from what he DOES do for her, because it was awesome. But, after Charlie's epic grovel in book 1, I guess I was just looking for a little more. I've truly loved this series, and I highly recommend all 3 books for anyone who loves dreamy, dirty talking heroes, and amazingly strong and resilient heroines. I love this author's work the MOST, and this series was no different.

In case you haven’t been following my reviews, I adore Tessa Bailey. She’s absolutely one of the best romance writers I’ve read and I love everything she writes! She’s also the queen of dirty talking heroes and Greer is my new favorite! Side note, it’s weird to be typing “Greer” and referring to the hero. I just read American King by Sierra Simone and Greer was the heroine’s name. Disturbing His Peace is the last book in Tessa’s The Academy Series which follows three friends as they finish the NYPD police academy. This book has one of my favorite plots, the teacher and the student. Or in this case, the serious instructor and the vivacious future cop! Like in all of Tessa’s books, the chemistry between the main characters is scorching! Greer and Danika have been circling each other since the first book and it was so satisfying when they gave into their attraction! What I loved most about this story is how relatable Danika is. She ends up assuming the problems of her family and being the person that handles everything. Even when she makes mistakes, some of which cause problems in her relationship with Greer, they are relatable and mistakes that I would make myself. She is a competent and self-assured woman and yet can still be vulnerable with Greer. Greer. Oh, Greer. You’re not Elijah level in my list of Tessa dream heroes but you’re pretty damn close. What can I say, I have a huge soft spot for the silent and solemn heroes. He fights his attraction to Danika so hard and yes, is an ass at times. But he totally makes up for it by loving and supporting her. His biggest fear is losing those close to him and Danika being a cop terrifies him. However, he still supports her dream and wants her to be the best cop possible. Behind his brooding demeanor is a dirty talking, ass-slapping hero and Danika is his perfect fit. Plus, who can’t help but love a cop who organized a book club for officers in therapy? I’m sad that this series ended but Danika and Greer’s story was the perfect finish. I loved watching the sparks fly between them in the early books and when they finally got together, it was just so satisfying!

decadent, sexy and spicy DISTRUBING HIS PEACE is the third and final instalment in Tessa Bailey’s contemporary, adult THE ACADEMY erotic, romance series focusing on three police academy cadets: Charlie Burns, Jack Garrett and Danika Silva. This is police Lieutenant Greer Burns, and Danika Silva’s story line. DISTURBING HIS PEACE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Told fro dual first person perspectives (Danika and Greer) DISTURBING HIS PEACE follows the building relationship between police academy cadet Danika Silva, and Lieutenant Greer Burn. As one of the academy trainers Greer knows Danika is off limits but his attraction to our story line heroine is visceral; building as the weeks of training progress until an accidental meeting in the shower finds Greer revealing the extent of his physical attraction. Hoping to keep their relationship on the down low, all bets are off as Charlie and Jack, and their significant others watch from the sidelines as Greer and Danika battle between attraction, love and the ultimate fear of letting go. Greer doesn’t do relationships, and isn’t willing to risk a relationship fearing rejection, or death on the job. Danika battles between her head and her heart believing Greer’s inevitable rejection will come at a cost. The relationship between Greer and Danika is one of immediate attraction but Greer is Danika’s supervisor, and thusly our heroine is off-limits. The palpable sexual attraction is deep-seated; almost instinctive as our couple dance around one another throughout the series. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense. There is some light spanking; Lieutenant Burns likes to talk dirty both in and out of the bedroom. All of the previous story line couples play secondary and supporting characters including Greer’s brother Charlie and his girlfriend Ever (Disorderly Conduct #1), as well as Jack Garrett and Katie McCoy (Indecent Exposure #2). We are introduced to Danika’s parents, as well as her cousin Robbie. DISTURBING HIS PEACE is a decadent, sexy and spicy story line. The premise is energetic; the romance is captivating and provocative; the characters are sassy, spirited and real. DISTURBING HIS PEACE and The Academy series will captivate your attention, leaving you wanting more.

I had enjoyed the other books and was pretty much waiting for Greer and Danika’s story from the beginning, so I couldn’t wait. Danika and Greer are interesting MCs who were insanely easy to root for. They’re both stubborn and stoic and the button pushing was hilarious. Oh, and their chemistry is off the charts. Plot wise, it was sort of what I expected. With Greer being her superior, I thought there would be a lot more push and pull, but it wasn’t too bad. There is some conflict and of course they break up, but it didn’t last long and I thought the grand gesture was perfect for them. I would have liked more at the epilogue, but I’m greedy. Overall, it was definitely the best of the series and well worth the wait. **Huge thanks to Avon Books for providing the arc free of charge**
