Disturbing the Peace by P.D. LaFleur has been named the winner in the Mystery category of the 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Presentation of the award will take place May 25 in New York at the Plaza Hotel as part of the Book Expo America events.
Released by RGI Press in January, Disturbing the Peace is LaFleur's first novel (of four) set in rural Florida and pits a small-town sheriff against a skilled international operative.
LaFleur, whose previous novel, Mill Town, was a Gold Medal winner at the 2009 Independent Publisher Book Awards in New York and the Gold Medal winner in fiction at the 2009 Florida Publishers Association President's Awards, lives in Southwest Florida where he is at work on another novel.
