This book provides updated canning recipes with recommendations based on current equipment and knowledge. A wide variety of recipes are included from expected old favorites to unexpected and unusual new twists like blueberry catsup. Advice for a pressure cooker is included as well as for water bath canning.  **I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book has everything you need to know to become successful at canning. Canning foods can help you save money and eat better foods. I loved the recipes and look forward to using some after my garden harvest this year. Great book! Really helpful!

My sister started canning overa year ago. Honestly, I would watch her in her kitchen and think "Oh my word that is a lot of work". Then when I started wasting produce in my house, I thought maybe I should start canning these though I was already predisposed to thinking it was a lot of work and not worth it. This book made the whole process less daunting because it takes the time to explain the history, process, and how to pick the right produce. It also includes an evaluation tool so that you can take notes and become better each time. I like that it recognizes there is different levels of canning and the more you do it the better you will be! It has lots of good recipes for every level from beginners to experts! This book was introduced to me at a perfect time and I have even shared with my sister who has been canning for years! She also really enjoyed this book.

I have never canned anything before, but after reading this book I am definitely sure I can do it! This book is full of wonderful tools to help anyone learn the basics of canning. I didn't see anything in the book that I disliked it was very informative and had a variety of recipes to try. Overall a very well written and informative DIY book.

My family has started canning this year and this book is helping! I love that it has a list of different flavors to throw in with different things. It also explained canning with ease and made the perfect guide for both my mother in law and I. She's more experienced than I am!  Disclosure: I received this e--book courtesy of Third Voice Marketing to review and received compensation in the form of free products for my time to review this book. All opinions expressed herein are 100% my own and not influenced in any way.

This books helps you with the basics of canning and pressure cooking even about how much acid to use when canning.  My wife loves this book and has been canning for a couple of years now but this even taught her a little more on canning.   The book is easy to follow and they go over about everything from acid to salt vinegar and water.  It breaks down your veggies and fruits and what type of year they are the best.  I have never read a book that is so explanatory and efficient.  It also goes over problems too.   It does cover everything even the recipes down to what to use and what you can change.  We are planning on use quite a lot more very soon.

Growing up here in the south ( Georgia ) I often ate canned foods and also recall watching my granny can veggies . She is gone now but the memories of that good food always remained. I wanted to learn how to can my vegetables from the garden and luckily I was given the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion. This was excellent and teaching me what all I needed to use and how much of the items I needed as well. Some vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers I grow myself and so I used my cucumbers from the garden to make pickles. They were delicious!!! My grandma would be proud. If you cant find some of the foods in your local grocery store try the farmers market.

This book made learning canning wonderful! I've been practicing with some of the veggies we bought at the store, and will be using the stuff with the ones we're growing! I love all the different flavor profiles and the explanations. It's made learning canning very simple and easy! I ended up buying my mother in law a copy as well because she loves canning! My kids love it now too! It's something we're all enjoying as a family.

DIY Canning is great for a canning newbie like myself because it offers step by step instructions, describes the canning process thoroughly, and it lists all the materials that you will need to get started. When it comes to canning, this book really explains it all. This book would be great for a beginner like myself, but would also be good for a more experienced canner as it introduces over 100 recipes.

At last a book that has easy, step by step instructions on how to can your own foods.  Great recipes, a good list of the equipment you'll need, and easy to follow instructions.  I've been wanting to learn how to can and make jams and jellies for years..... this year, thanks to this book, I finally will!

My knowledge of canning was pretty limited before this book. I didn't realize how feasible it is! I love the fact that I can make my own low sugar applesauce and other low sugar, low sodium goods. Everything in the book is step by step so it is definitely easy to follow. I suggest buying the e-book and putting in your kindle (or similar device). I loved the book and continue to practice canning.

I don't really understand why anyone would want to do this when you can just buy fresh food, and I like canned food how it is. But, if you were to get a hankerin', there is a ridiculous amount of content in this book, and it's nicely organized and speaks clearly and simply, with reasons the author does this. Health is one of them.

I love this DIY Canning book because it has given me a new confidence in home canning. It has given me so much useful information for both water-bath and pressure canning. Plus the recipes are very easy to follow and are ingredients that are easy to find. I can't wait until our garden is ready for picking so I can utilize all of the information I have learned.

I have a plentiful garden that I never know what to do with all the extras and this book gave me just the answer! I tried several of the recipes and they were wonderful and a great way to use up the leftovers I had in my garden.

Interested in canning, this book is a great resource, offering step by step instructions on how, the materials you need for basic canning and also for pressure pot canning. I find canning is a great way to preserve the flavors that aren't always available. It's a time savor and the finished product is so pretty! A great starter recipe for simple strawberry jam starts the adventure in this book. This cookbook is like having my grandmother in the room. The book includes an evaluation worksheet so you can learn from failures and have great canning success. This book is great resource for anyone wanting to learn canning or kick it up a bit.

Never having canned anything in my lifetime, I would love to try after reading this book.  There are some phenomenal recipes and ideas that sound tantalizing!  I have eaten many canned jams/jellies as well as a good share of homemade pickles, and I am eager to try to do some  of my own canning.  This could become a very creative and time consuming hobby, but I am sure it would be fun!  The recipes in this book go from simple to  experienced-canner.  I think I will start simple!

I like that this ebook was easy to follow and understand the steps to canning at home. I like that the gardens harvest will no longer go to waste or have to be given out before it spoils. This is a very nice way to get the seasonal items all year around. I am just a beginner but I think I will be able to start off with the practice canning recipes and go on from there. I like that it gives the option of pressure cooker or water bath canning. After reading this book I am sure I can become a DIY canner!

I recently got into canning and am always looking for new ways to implement a healthier lifestyle.  If you are into living healthy on somewhat of a budget like me, this book is ideal!  These recipes.are so cost effective and help to preserve foods.  I would consider myself a beginner and found the instructions easy enough to follow, and a great variety of options.  I also love that the book offers even healthier options with low sugar and low sodium.  I also love all the pictures since I am a very visual learner, it makes me.more enthusiastic about trying the recipes.  Looking forward to trying them all!

I have never canned anything in my life, but I am really looking forward to this year's bounty from the garden and being able to enjoy the green beans this winter.  This book is great for anyone who is just getting started, with an abundance of information, to someone  who has been canning for years and might need some updates.  It kind of brings me back to hearing that familiar "jiggle" from my  grandma's pressure cooker on the stove when she was canning.  This book is a must read if you are even thinking about trying your hand at canning.

I enjoyed this book. I recently got into canning and been looking for a few books on the matter and this one is pretty good. I love the easy to follow steps that guide you from the begging to the end process. I have already started with some jams and the recipes and instructions have been good. I think canning can be a very important part of a family. I can bond the family as they enjoy the process together and it can also be a great way to store some foods in case of emergencies. I cant wait to get through all the book and try all the recipes.  If i would say one bad thin is that i would have enjoyed more pictures as references to my finished products.
