Once again Morgana Best welcomes us into the wonderfully crafted world of Amelia Spelled. Characters you would love to visit with, a bit of romance, some supernatural, a protective house, and a mystery that keeps you guessing. I can't wait to continue the series and see what happens next!

This a story about Amelia Spelled who has recently learned she is a witch. In this book Amelia finds a dead man on her porch and has to prove she didn’t kill him or even know him. It’s an entertaining tale of her struggle to prove her innocence, the men in her life, and her strange house that some days becomes a maze where walls move and rooms turn theirselves around. Never a dull moment!

After reading book one of this series I thought I'd go ahead and read the second one in hopes that the first was just an introduction and more character development would follow For one example, I would think that a house such as the one Amelia has inherited, should at the very least merit a name or title. Unfortunately, this is just one of many details missing that could actually make this a series worth reading.

Amelia and Thyme are in town doing some shopping to celebrate Amelia's latest attempt at baking. One of the new stores in town is Madam Dianne's Shop of Mystery. Madam Dianne claims to be a psychic. even if a few of her visions and predictions prove to be slightly incorrect. When Amelia returns home, she finds a corpse on her front porch. The corpse is that of Thomas Hale, a real estate salesman from a nearby town. Dianne admits to the police, Detectives Harrison and Sassafras of the Homicide Squad, that she had met the victim once when she hired him to see about buying a house. The house she was interested in is Amelia's, but Amelia had never met the man. When Dianne insists that the police consider her the prime suspect, Amelia says she will try to help. Meanwhile, it becomes evident that somebody is trying to frame Amelia for the murder. To complicate matters even more, Alder Vervain, whose ancestors were notorious witch hunters, is following Amelia everywhere she goes. Who killed Thomas Hale? Why was he killed? Who is trying to frame Amelia and why? Can Amelia and her friends sort things out and identify the killer? The story is well written with plenty of humor and twists and leaves you looking forward to more books in the series.

really liked it witches, murder-investigation, law-enforcement, amateur-sleuth, women-sleuths, friendship Another fun mystery with the kitchen witch. Amelia finds a man dead on her porch, and the police are not happy that she is involved once again. She and her friends try to solve the mystery using the Internet, ordinary sleuthing, spells, her protective house, and get the assistance of a local private detective. There is lots of situational humor and awful puns. These are really funny, quick cozy mysteries that anyone could enjoy!

Loved It! This is a great book; this is the second book in the Witch Cozy Mystery series by Morgana Best. Amelia inherited a crumbling cake store business and happens to also recently found out that she is a witch. She is learning some spells, but she is still a disaster when trying to bake something. When she finds a body on her front porch, she becomes a suspect. She soon finds out that someone is trying to frame her for the murder. It is up to her and her friends to solve the murder before she becomes the next victim. If you are looking for a fun book, then you need to read this one. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
