Do Not Disturb by Mary Billiter is a charming book. This is book one in the Resort Romances series. Overall I enjoyed reading it but found that it was easy for me to put down. I really liked Katie and was really rooting for her and Bogart from the beginning. I think this is a great start to the series and we will see a lot more from Mary and the characters she creates. I actually read book 4 in the series first. I like that each book seems to be different. They are light reads that are good for that mindless book you crave when you just need something fun. 4 star rating.
Do Not Disturb by Mary Billiter Rated 5 stars This book is over the top amazing! I loved it from the first chapter! There were so many great moments in the story. This is my second book by this author. I had read book 2 in this series first, The Escape Clause, and I think I have found a new favorite author! Katie and her antics crack me up! What happened when she was sick in the bathroom. So good! I love her Irish family! She is a quick to think on her feet! I love love loved the scene where she was going to drunkingly text her brother, Patrick. The stuff in that text...hilarious! Add to that the whole seltzer issue from her Dad and Bogart plus the video of her....hahahaha..I almost peed my pants it was so funny! The beginning of chapter 15....I was so into it...then BAM! I seriously felt like Katie....disappointment. Good job Mary Billiter! So many emotions were used while reading this from laughing out loud to...yep disappointment. I covered a wide range but it's worth it since I love all the characters in this book! There is a great cast of characters in this story. Chris Bogart and TJ who are Hot-to-trot love interest, Jimmy one of her bosses, Patrick a fun as all get out brother and a slew of others. Oh I don't want to forget her parents. They were a hoot and added a lot of fun to the story. I loved how they were all integrated into the story but yet each had their own part. The whole overtime issue with part time employees was a story kinda told as a secondary story. It really involved a lot of the hotel characters and a few others. I really liked TJ near the end of the story. My other action towards him were gagging, panting and Thinking ICK! But he totally redeemed himself in my eyes. He really helped Katie learn to exude some "Confidence" The epilogue was one of my many favorite parts of the book!
Do Not Disturb (Resort Romances Book 1) by Mary Billiter is the second book in her Resort Romances series. This can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend going back and reading the first one also. This is my second book by this author and I fully enjoy her writing style and her creativity for details. Her characters are fun, true to life and lovable. They will pull you into their world from the first word until the last. This story is about discovering what you want and figuring out that it may not be what you need. This story is about Katie and what she believes what she wants is truly what she needs. She will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions from suspense to romance. Is the person that she truly wants be right in front of her? She has always wanted this dream job but it is what it cracked up to be? She is a strong character that truly is the star of this book. She knows what she wants but I don't think she quite knows how to get it. She has determination and strength. There were times I just wanted to yell at her so she will just see what is in front of her. She will take you on some twists and turns that will surprise you and keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this story as Katie takes you on a journey that will leave you wanting more. I read this book in one sitting, it is fast paced and keeps you engaged until the end. You will need to see what happens at the end of this story, will Katie get her HEA? Will she finally find what she is seeking?
