Lifestyle coach Collins adapts ideas from modern science to age-old spiritual wisdom. Harking back to a metaphor originally suggested by the father of quantum physics, Niels Bohr, she applies the principle of complementarity to psychic reality. While the principle relates to the application of concepts from classical physics to quantum mechanics, Collins states, "what you see is what you expect. By choosing one way to see the world, another equally likely aspect of that world becomes hidden." How we think about things can transform what we perceive to be reality. "We are not simply the changing thoughts that pass through our minds; we are that which witnesses the thoughts."
