A true life story - a must read. How accurate the story was about jews and italians growing up in New York City. My husband is italian-american, 90 years old and was born and raised in East Harlem, NYC. The prtrayal of in the book of all jewish and italian families is authentic. He was exposed to many mob guys during his childhood and into adulthood. He witnessed the mafioso lifestyle with so many characters in the 30's, 40's and 50's. He encouraged me to read this story. it is very creative, well written and keeps you in suspense. We love the book and if Mr. Klein writes another we will certainly purchase it. we recommend highly.

U just read this book written by Arnold Klein. It well written and actually to me reflects a real story of young Jewish boy being grown in Brooklyn/New York City neighborhood in the middle of 20th Century. The language is easy to read and the content is very exciting. I have also learned the certain interesting expressions and slang in Jewish and Italian. Reading the book was incredible experience familiarizing myself with real life of Jewish and Italian families, the immigrants in NY city at the time of 1940-1950. It has touched my heart. Once I started reading I could not stop. I highly recommend this book .

This is a very well thought out novel. Interesting story that captures the feel and essence of  real life involvement with the 'mob' from the eyes of an outsider. Two kids in Brooklyn growing up together. One connected and his best friend 'sorta' innocent. Lots of 'real' characters and action  Great read… Hope Klein writes another book soon.
