Two very different people.

One scandalous proposition.

Endless possibilities...

***

I can't believe how different things are now; how complicated my life has become in such a short amount of time.

It was never supposed to be like this.

He's off limits.

He's always been off limits.

I keep telling myself that; that being here with him is not supposed to feel this good.

God, he's not supposed to feel this good.

I wonder what my life would have been like now if I had gone to the clinic on a different day, or if I had just insisted on going with the physician I was initially referred to.

Never in my life would I have thought that in the events that followed the beginning of a regular school week, a random checkup would end up spawning a highly angst-filled, incredibly confusing, and quickly-unfolding mess.

***

Feast your eyeballs and fall absolutely head over heels in love with Eme Strife's edgy, sizzling, intriguing, incredibly sexy, and captivating unconventional romance story. Each installment will keep you strapped to the very edge of your seat and constantly guessing on one hell of an emotional roller-coaster. About the Author

Eme (pronounced Emmy, like the award. Lol) is an unconventional storyteller (and a typical cat-and-dog-loving, animation-obsessed weirdo) who has several sarcastic, upbeat, and severely vulgar imaginary friends who simultaneously piss her off and make her feel normal. She writes about said imaginary friends a lot—mostly because they never seem to shut the hell up.

She's addicted to Family Guy, American Dad, Korean dramas, Japanime, and Pandora (the online radio site, not the evil box), drinks used to drink an ungodly amount of Red Bull at any given time, wants to marry Seth MacFarlane's voice at some point, and occasionally eats bacon and popcorn together (^_^).

You can keep up with Eme, her books, and her unconventional life at www.emestrife.com. You can also chat with her on Facebook, chirp away on Twitter, or just shoot her good old fashioned email at . She’s always eager to hear from you, so don’t be shy. Drop a line!

More more! This was my first book by Eme Strife. The prologue was definitely different than the rest of the book. The steamy prologue made me super excited that this book would be great. Was a little disappointed that it left us not knowing how things will turn out but hey that's what everything is doing now. Left me ready for the next installment.

This is the second installment of Ramona's story and it pulls you in. I was trying to guess what is going on with her as I read. I don't like Dexter and his arrogance. I suppose he's that way because he's a doctor, though a lot of doctors aren't like that. I also don't like the fact that he's married and Ramona is thinking about sex with him. I'll have to wait to see what happens. The author does a good job of drawing you into the story.

Doctor-Patient Confidentiality: Volume One (The Confidential Series #1) by Eme Strife This story starts off with the struggles that college student Roni is going through. She is experiencing some stomach pain and winds up going to the college clinic. The clinic sends her to the hospital where she ends up meeting Dr. dexter Frost. There is an instant connection with them but then ... You will have to read the next volume to find out what happens next. The first volume ended a little soon for me. But the prologue gives you more information so this makes you want to read the next volumes. FYI, includes graphic mature content.

I really enjoyed this book, its a short story, well written with a hell of a cliffhanger.. i need to read the next book. The main character is a good college girl who didnt get taken in by cute popular sports players.. until she met a man who caused all her to want.

Wow, what can I say, it was an amazing start, I wasn't expecting for the story to develop that way. I haven'r read about an artist girl, this is something different and I'm waiting with too many enthusiasm for the next book. I want to know everything about Roni, and off course about how this messed up relationship starts and end. Thanks Eme for an amazing reading so far.

Loved this book. This book hooked me from the beginning. Walking up the stairs and getting a strange pain.... The author gives you just enough of each character to keep you reading. She describes everything and everyone with just the right amount of detail without boring you. This is a very fast read and I can't wait to read the next one. I will be referring this book to ALL of my friends.

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book you heard about from Goodreads. Prologue is very hot and steamy so you get an idea of where the characters are going to end up, you just have to wait around for that to happen. Short and sweet with the story itself but the author manages to set the scene with how it will flow together and continue within the rest of the series. Ramona is on her way to a very early classical vocal practise where she is the lead vocalist and lead pianist, something others aren’t too pleased with. While there though she starts to get this pain in her stomach, something that has come on stronger over the past few weeks. You can see clearly how some in her class love the fact she is messing up and in pain, clearly a tough crowd. She knows she needs to go to the doctors but has a fear, the reason behind which we don’t know just yet. From the start you know what Ramona and Doctor Deter will eventually get up to but you have to keep guessing at how it will come about. I mean they meet by a chance of fate because of a stomach pain problem she has been having. The first time they meet you can feel a dominating presence coming off him and she ultimately starts to turn into a submissive role, she even lowers her eyes. Though this might have more to do with her not being able to keep looking at him and not focusing on how he is making her feel down south. You get a glimpse into the classical world she is in for college and know she has had pain in her passed but are left in the dark as to what. Whatever it is it’s the one reason she says she will never fall in love. A fate worse than death for her but I’m thinking that even though her future might be uncertain with someone who shouldn’t really be hers her feelings might start to change. Whether that’s for the better is still to be seen. Not much interaction between the characters as the book had more of a descriptive feel to it. Not so much a cliff hanger ending more like book on pause before starting the next chapter. As there are a few in the series I feel that it’s going to become a pattern style. Which is good to know going in so you don’t feel so shocked that it just ended.

I voluntarily bought this book in order to leave an honest review. I wasn't as happy with this book when it ended as I was going into it. Now, I understand that these are all short books in a larger series, but I wanted more. When I say more I mean I wanted to read more than just not even one full day in the characters life throughout the entire 92 pages. I wanted more than just her getting out of her car and walking to a building in one single chapter. I love details and never thought there was something as too many details, but this has way too many details. It dragged it out more than it built up with story. The idea behind the story is intriguing thus far, but we still don't know a lot about it. The only clues we got were in the prologue. I will be picking up the other books in the series in order to find out what happens between our main characters.

I bought this copy to review honestly for the author of the book. On my grading scale out of 10 stars I'd give this book about a 4. There were a few issues I had with this prequel, which is why I gave it this rating. Main Issue: Roni acts as if she is 16-17 when she is 24. It's annoying. She is constantly bringing up the people in the book like they are her arch nemeses. Secondary Issues: No erotica. It may have that first scene, but the rest ain't so steamy. Boring everyday activities, beyond the fact that Roni has stomach problems. Perhaps cancer? Non development of the guy friend character. Super slow paced. Strange formatting errors. An example is this. Overall. I suggest reading it, since it is free. And if you enjoy the story you can continue. I plan on doing so b/c it leaves off in a cliffhanger, but not in a flattering way. In a way that makes me want to read more not because we were getting to something good schmex wise (b/c we literally leave off in a doctor's office), but in the hopes that there will be more steamy in the next novel. :)

ack story is a bit of a mystery but it keeps you interested. Once I got to the end, I said out loud, "really?!" I wished I had the next book ready to go. I was so ready for it. I was left hanging and craving more! I can't wait to go on to the next book and get to know Ramona better and see what sexy shenanigans she gets into. by ScarlettL0ve on January 17, 2017 Was this helpful to you? Yes No Report as inappropriate Sizzling HOT beginning. Then you get introduce to Ramona. I love her sarcastic tone. She is in college for vocal arts, she is a singer at a bar, poor and hints at a tragic past. She stays away from love because of Dad's sad love life and hints of death of Mom. She has a physical pain and is how she meets HOT Dr. Frost.

Ramona is a non-traditional college student who is the pride of the music department at her university. She has few friends - Trixie and Bill - and is struggling to make ends meet. Her past is mysterious though parts are hinted at. When a mysterious ailment seems to threaten her future as a performer, she heads to the clinic. Ms Strife certainly starts off this series with a bang, giving the reader insight into future events. She then backs up the story to provide background on our main character. This is a serial so the reader is still left with many questions at the end and it certainly ends on a cliff hanger. However, as an introduction to Ms. Strife's writing, this certainly will leave you knowing whether you wish to continue with the series or move on. It looks like there will be a significant amount of build up, given the pace of this part. Two warnings for those deciding whether to give this a try: (1) if infidelity is something you have a problem with, this will not be a serial for you. (2) it is written from the first person, which can be a deal breaker for some. I'm certainly not a fan of it, though that didn't affect my review.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. This was a great short romance story. I definitely recommend this and can't wait to read the rest of the story.

I wanted to like this novella a lot more than I did. I'm not much of a fan of prequels or in-between novels, but I gave this a go ahead seeing as I was offered this as an ARC from the author providing an honest and unbiased review of it. Here was the main issue for me, I base how I like a book by many different factors, one being that if a book claims to be in a certain genre, then I expect it to actually be of that genre- meaning, having the certain elements and criteria that fit that particular drama. For some reason I thought this novella was suppose to fall within the realm of erotica, and although the beginning starts off pretty steamy, I realize it is a bit of a flash forward. When the present comes around, it gets a bit boring. Here is why I like erotica - because you don't really have to delve too deep into the characters and why they are they way they are. Erotica's are like the XXX porn of literature. You just don't care too much for a background story of a character(s) unless the author can do a really good job of making it absolutely necessary to the overall story. When you start diving deep into a story that is Erotica, it no longer is erotica to me, but a Sexy explicit Romance novel. Which is fine, if that is what this was marketed as. I didn't expect too much of this novella, because it's just a short prequel, but I expected more than what I read or maybe the word I'm looking for is less? Less descriptions, less mundane, day to day tasks and more steamy sex scenes. More build up to the main story of the following books in the series. This book wasn't horrible, thus why I'm not giving it lower than 3-stars. It just didn't fit what I had in mind, and that's not bad, I've read a lot of books that turned out to be something completely different that what I thought and turned out to be some of my favorite books. For me, this couldn't hold my attention very well. I'm curious on what the tone of the rest of the series is, so I will buy at least the next one to see if my opinion will change. Not the author's fault, it's just a state of mind for me. As I said in the beginning, prequels are just not my thing. I find them to be unnecessary and this book has not changed my mind of that notion. This book maybe for you, so give it a try.

A Review of Doctor-Patient Confidentiality by Eme Strife Left wanting MORE - 4.5 stars When I first saw the blurb for this book, I thought it was interesting enough to purchase it (especially since it was free). As this is the first time I've heard of Ms. Strife, I was curious to see what type of writer she was - if she fleshes out her characters or not. I have to say she did a pretty good job of fleshing out Roni, though there are a lot of things we don't know at this point. When we first meet Roni (Ramona) Gallo, she is on her way to the college for her morning vocal rehearsal. We learn that she is pulling a double major and is the lead vocalist, as well as the lead pianist for the Music Department. I know this is a serial, with multiple parts, but I was slightly aggravated that the Prologue at the beginning of this book never showed up in this book. I really want to read the next book to see if that part comes up there. I'm anxious to learn what the proposition is that was mentioned in the blurb. "Never in my life would I have thought that in the events that followed the beginning of a regular school week, a random checkup would end up spawning a highly angst-filled, incredibly confusing, and quickly-unfolding mess." Excitedly looking forward to the next book in the series. **Great purchase**

Love the main character, the story dives right in on a very descriptive sex scene straight off and then into the characters life as it really is. I lived in West Monroe and now Monroe so I can relate to the mention of "Duck Dynasty" and I felt at once at home with this author's story weaving. The book is fast, easy read that was very enjoyable. Not really long and drawn out but leaves you wanting more, which, wonderfully noted, this is a series so there's more.....get this one, forget that "Grey" movie and start with this fresh take on Eme's wonderfully detailed characters.

Book exchanged for an honest review~ Ramona Gallo is a talented singer and pianoist which often leads to jealousy among her peers. Ramona feels lost and lonely right now. Some strange events occurring in her life. She's advised to get herself some medical attention. Little did she know how much her world is about to change in ways she's not expecting. What is about to change? Your answers await you in Doctor-Patient Confidentiality. This quick read is short and sweet. The story and characters are real, raw, down to earth, honest, and compelling too. Definitely looking to the next one in the series.

Step one: prepare for the prologue, take a deep breath, grab some smelling salts or an ice bucket to prevent a total meltdown. Step two: Stop re-reading the prologue! The rest of the story is just as magnetic, just as intriguing! Step three: Prepare for an ending that brings it all together and sets the stage for more in this new serial! NOW you are ready for Doctor-Patient Confidentiality: Volume One by Eme Strife and the story of one college girl, alone for the most part, financially strapped and just getting by. Then, one day, a well-intentioned nurse sends her on a journey that will change her life forever. Eme Strife can write with the power to fry an egg! Sizzling steam, finely detailed, definitely not for those who blush easily are only part of her talent. She creates a connection for her readers with her main character, which goes beyond skin deep as we watch her struggles to maintain herself to follow her dreams. Wonderful reading, a twisted plot following the college life of Ramona, who has a past, present and unknown future that is giving her trouble. Who knows, maybe the doc can help her out, or make things worse. A perfect set up for a series that could be an emotional scorcher! I received this copy from Eme Strife in exchange for my honest review.
