The desire that exploded in Mastered continues its conflagration in Dominated—from the New York Times bestselling author of the Surrender Trilogy.

To save her, he had to betray her.…

In Drake’s shadowy world, his enemies would exploit any weakness he had in order to bring him to his knees, and so he’s never allowed himself to care about anyone…never exhibited any vulnerability, and it made him a force to be reckoned with. Until Evangeline—his angel. A woman who slipped past his defenses like no one had ever managed. She was his to protect and ultimately, to do that, he had to do the unthinkable and drive the only good thing in his world away.

But he will stop at nothing to get her back.…

Devastated and destroyed, Evangeline doesn’t know what made Drake turn on her in such a shocking manner. She only knows she’ll never be the same. He once freed her from all her inhibitions, only now she is a prisoner to never-ending pain. But when Drake finds her again, she realizes there is more to his world than she ever imagined, and she must decide if she can once more trust—and submit—to the man who holds her wounded heart in his hands. And he must convince her of just how far he’ll go to regain her love and forgiveness.

This is my first review of a nook book ever. I've never felt the need to comment before, but I can't help it this time. I'm on page 70, and I just can't finish this book. This has never happened to me before! I just can't get into either character. Evangeline loves Drake? She knows nothing about him! And she willfully keeps it that way! She doesn't care too know if he makes his living in a legal way in case it may upset her. She just wants him to wait on her hand and foot and keep her in the dark so she doesn't have to worry her conscience might get in the way. That's not love. And Drake, we learn nothing about him. Nothing! Except he can't live without Evangeline. Why?!? Because I can't see one reason to love Evangeline in those first 70 pages. She's been written to be weak. Can't care for herself. This book reminds me of those couples you see on occasion and can't fathom why they're together. I can literally say by page 70, I know Evangeline loves Drake, she can't take care of herself on any level, Drake can't live without her, and he's rich. That's it. His explanation for hurting her was a joke. He has enemies he has to protect her from. No mention of WHY he has enemies, just that he does. And she's ok with that. Sorry, I just can't get into characters that lack basic details and self esteem. I've loved Maya Banks' books for a long time. I've read some comments lately wondering what's been going on with her writing, and I have to agree. Is there a ghost writer quietly afoot? The pace and tempo feel nothing like a Maya Banks book. And the lack of descriptions and plot are astounding! The book may have her name on it, but it makes me think of what a book I might try to write would read like. Something is very, VERY different. And that makes me incredibly sad. Used to be one of my favorite authors.

Herione was weak and was a dormat foe the hero even after he did the most dispicable things to her again and again. The hero was written to be selfish and the herione just catered to him nonstop. There was no need for this second book it was pretty much the same as the first in my opinion. Banks really missed the mark on this one.

Definitely not up to her usual standard. I greatly enjiyed many of maya banks book but i really did not like this one. Hated the phase "my queen." So cliche. The heroine was weak. All she did was cook, cry, and forgive.

While I have read most of Ms Banks work, this was not her best series. Evangeline was weak and the "love at first sight" plot is getting so boring. Rich, handsome Dom falls for a pretty, poor virgin and she makes him want to be a better man....oh,boy! Too bad Banks didn't combine both books so I could have saved some money.

Just another weak, pathetic heroine. I'm really tired of all these books where the heroine does all the giving. No more books by this author for me.

There were spots that were to drawn out, repetition makes boring, but good story line. The Kelly boys were the best.

I love maya banks books. The only problem I had was that we kept going over the same issues from different people. A little redundant

Both books kept me riveted. I always love Maya's books and these two were no exception. Their devotion to each other was truly beauriful. Just wish the epilogue went beyond the wedding. I would have liked to know about Drake's reaction to her pregnancy and what sex the baby was.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I found all my questions to have been answered. The author literally made me feel like I was in the character's perspective. The entire emotional roller coaster had me in tears as well, feeling the emotional pain that Evangeline was going through. I am hoping that Maya Banks will continue on with this story as I can see it going further than where she had left off. I am still left with some questions, but I won't tell you as you just have to read the book. The next book in the series is called Kept and is all about Silas and his relationship. I cannot wait to start reading the next book. I give this two thumbs up and 5 stars, 10 if I could rate it on a 1 - 10 scale.

Used to like Maya Banks, but this book is an insult to her readers. Basically the same page re-written over and over again. He says the same things about 100 times in the book, and she reacts the same weak, afraid way the same. What a total waste of money!

Drake has faults, in fact he says he isn't a good person. Loving Evangeline, even if he didn't realize it, made him more human. It takes strength to be vulerable to someone else, especially for a man like Drake. Evangeline is innocent and has a big heart. These may seem like weak traits, but maybe not. It takes strengrh to love so openly. Even more so when you've been devastated. Evangeline does this because she believe in love, and rhat Drake is worth it. If you focus on what maybe considered negative traits in the chracters, you'll miss the intense love. A love that heals, a love that forgives, a love that strengthens.
