Donna by Ronnie G. Anderson

Donna Blanchard runs the mile in track and is very good at it. This year she will be a senior and is closing in on setting the high school records for that event in track, her problem is that she seems to always fall in love with her coaches. This is the third year that Grace Blanchard, her mother, has moved because of the advances of her underage daughter. The new school's track coach was a former boxer and looks like Picasso designed his face. Does Donna deter her feelings for Coach Meyers simply because of his look? No! Grace, Donna's single mother, steps in and seduces and marries the sweet man to remove him from Donna's fantasies. She wanted a husband and stability anyway. Meanwhile Donna's mile times get closer to record territories and word goes around that she is of Olympic caliber. The story continues from there with twists and turns that are not always on the track.
