Donovans of the Delta Series, Book One (Special Holiday Price)

When Martie Fleming breezed into small town Pontotoc, Mississippi, determined to settle down and teach jazzercise in her home studio, she never expected to land next door to the minister. She never expected her playful golden retriever to steal his shorts right off the clothes line. And she certainly never expected to fall in love.

Everybody in town would agree they are so wrong for each other – everybody but Paul Donovan. With her gypsy outfits, her lively music and her irrepressible spirit, Martie is exactly the angel the preacher needs. But can he convince her? Can their love and his career survive the small town gossip and the fireworks Martie creates wherever she goes?

This is the first of a five-book romantic comedy series originally published by Loveswept and considered to be their definitive family series. The sequel to Donovan’s Angel is Sleepless Nights.

I am about to sound like and old lady, but i am only 28...What is this world coming to? How is it ok to mix sex and religion like its ok? I thought this was going to be a 'safe' book where i didnt have to worry about descriptions of hardons and hot spots...where is the class!? So frustrating!

I think that this is a great read for anyone looking for a heartwarming romance. It makes you laugh at times and others cry. It leaves you in suspence so it is hard to put down. I recommend this for ages 13 or 14 and up. Great book. Wonderful story.

I LOVED this book. The storyline, the characters, the was a true breathe of fresh air in writing and as a romance story. All true romantics should read this book...and more than once. I look forward to reading the rest in this series. LOVED THIS BOOK!

I thought it was a pretty good book. The amount of sex bothered me a bit. Seemed like thats all they did as a married couple. Id like to think there was more to married life than that. And most marriages dont have that.

A well written romantic comedy about a minister and a "fast" young lady brought together by a rambunctious puppy. A nice story with characters one can connect with and understand. A nice balance of romance and religion and of seriousness and comedy. Over all, a very good read! And, if that isn't enough to convince you to get this book, it was free as well!!!!!

This book was awful. I would give it zero stars or negative as a rating. I dont know what the other reviews are talking about that read this book. They obviously have never read a well-written book. Please dont waste your time. The author did a horrible job of building the characters, describing emotions in a way that pulls you into the story, and lacked the ability to build the romance. A well written book will draw a reader in so well that you become emotionally attached. I felt no emotion & felt the story jumped around constantly. I cant believe this is a series. Wont be reading this author again.

Typical romance where girl next door falls for her minister neighbor. Part about fried chicken had me laughing. How many meals my husband ate that weren't the best...all in love.

JUST O.K.!!   I think if it was about 150 pages shorter, it may have been better.  There is lovemaking, that isn't very descriptive.  I loved the minister, but our h was just o.k.  The secondary character's were interesting, if not at times aggravating, which made the story different.  There isn't a cliffhanger (yea), and there is a cute epilogue.  As long as the book stays free, go for it, but remember it is just an average read. This is a simple, sweet romance novel. It is good and entertaining. The sex scenes are not too graphic and are realistic considering all the frustrations they had built up! This book fits nicely into the romance novel outline while still being a bit unique.

Cute story, I love that preacher man's humanity was realistic. Even Christians struggle in their physical relationships, I don't think there is anything wrong with acknowledging that fact. The reviewer that said it's not okay to mix sex and religion . . . wow. Ever read Song of Solomon? I thought this book was written with a lot of class in that respect. I'll take a realistic portrayal of relationship over farcical, holier than thou romance any day! I thought it was a great read!

This was a fun book to read BUT the other in the sequence you have to buy. This was well written with humor. It is romance but "PG" rated. I think I have to read the rest though as Peggy Webb is a good author that keeps your attention but not too heavy.

This is a pleasant and amusing love story. It's a good reminder that people in ministry are human, too, with all the passions & foibles of everyone else. It does a good job in holding true to the desire of those in ministry to live their lives in a way that would please God, not people.

I liked this book, but hated that it took them so long to figure out it was true love. Overall a funny good read.

This book is incredible. The main charater explans how we need to let our walls down and exit our comfort zone. Also it tells us about how we need to not gossip about others and what theyre doing, plus having fun.

I found this book adorible! Yes it was a little slow, but it was such a cute romance! The characters were memerable, and it was easy to follow the story. I think this book was really good for being a free book! And it wasnt short either! It killed some time and kept me interested
