Don't Judge (Nothing Special Series #4) by A. E. Via, Jay Aheer

AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS STORY

Detective Austin Michaels didn't think life could get any better after he was accepted into the most notorious narcotics task force on the East Coast, headed up by two of the baddest' Lieutenants with the Atlanta Police Department - Cashel Godfrey and Leonidis Day.

Michaels knew he would fit right in as the team's sniper, having received his fair share of commendations for marksmanship. He was just as badass as the rest of the twenty brothers that made up their team. But when Michaels lets their prime suspect get away from a huge bust with over a quarter of a million dollars in drugs, he's willing to do whatever it takes to make it right.

Left with no other options, God chooses to bring in outside help, calling on his long-time friend and bounty hunter, Judge Josephson.

Judge was considered one of the best trackers during his enlistment in the United States Army. After retiring, he used those skills to become one of the most sought out fugitive trackers in the country. When Judge gets a call from his old friend needing his help, he quickly tells God, yes.

Still embarrassed, and intent to prove himself, Michaels immediately volunteers to partner up with Judge to get their suspect back quickly and quietly. Neither man wanted or needed a partner. But, after Judge and Michaels get on the road, the hate/lust relationship they quickly develop between them will either make them heroes... Or get them killed.

Austin Michaels has grown into a very productive and strong member of the Atlanta Narcotics Task Force, not quite the image Ruxs and Green had of him in Here Comes Trouble. Unfortunately a mistake has consequences and after God calls in a favor, Michaels finds himself on a journey with Judge, God's bounty hunter friend who is none to pleased to have a tag-a-long while tracking his quarry. Their differences compliment each other even though they don't see it. Once again, when one of their own is in trouble the task force family rally together and do what they do best: kick butt and bust the bad guys. Overall series review: Great stories with very interesting characters, both good guys and bad. Sometimes the plot seemed a little on the rushed side but still flowed smoothly so it didn't effect my enjoyment of the tale. The mysteries/crime/conflict could have had a little more punch for my taste and for that reason I have to file this series under guilty pleasures, although I never once actually felt guilty for enjoying the pleasures of the Atlanta Narcotics Task Force men and off the record they are definitely men from head to toe.

Don't Judge-4th Book in The Nothing Special Series by A.E Via Detective Austin Michael's dream came true when he was accepted into the narcotics task force on the East Coast. Michael's fit right in as the team sniper as he was just as tough as his team was. Michael's will do anything to fix a huge problem that was his doing. Now is the time to call in the heavyweight and that is.....Judge Josephson Judge was one of the best, actually the best tracker while he was with United States Marine corps. Judge can't turn down his friends request for help so he says yes. Michael is still upset as to what happened on his watch that he volunteers to work with Judge to get the huge problem resolved and quickly. Judge never works with a partner and this time is no different but GOD (Task Force) persuades him to work with Michael and the bickering starts but that turns into lust and OMG what hot lust it is! One of the hottest encounters I have ever read is between Michael's and Judge and both men are completely surprised that each other is attracted to men and now they are forced to look at each other quite differently than when they first met. The guys are on a stake out and growing rapidly closer to each other until Judge gets a call about his father and that is when everything starts to crumble. Judge keeps losing everyone close to him and he couldn't bare to loose Austin so he pulls back which completely breaks Austin's heart. This was an amazing instalment of A.E. Via's series, Nothing Special and she created such an emotional and beautiful story with some of the most brilliant characters I have ever read. This novel was darker but it fits so well in the series. I love the man in GOD's Task Force as these are real hot men. The way the author creates these amazing alphas is simply brilliant. I could recommend Don't Judge enough for everyone to read!!!! "Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review." Reviewed by Paul at Gay Media Reviews!

5 Stars (I'd give it more if I could) This series is so hot. This story tells of Austin Michaels, a lonely detective who has been on edge. He is tired of not having a partner, especially since the other guys have all been finding their soul mates. Michaels is kind of a loose canon, loves fighting and being in control. When he loses a suspect during a raid, he wants to do anything to right the situation. This puts him on the road with Judge, a bounty hunter used to working alone. Their banter and flirting is entertaining and sexy. I enjoyed seeing them resist each other and then give in to their needs. This story seemed dirtier and grittier than the previous two tales. The men were manlier, the sex was dirtier, the story seemed more captivating. I loved it. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
