* This is the second book in the Stark Springs Academy series, which should be read in order. You should read Black Diamond before reading the description below.*
If you don’t like the rules, make new ones.
If you want to be the best, show no fear.
And if Ryker Black is your boyfriend, you better be ready to fight. On and off the slopes.
Overnight, Roxie Slade went from an outsider at Stark Springs Academy, to a ruler at the prestigious boarding school for elite winter athletes. But Roxie didn’t know if she wanted that power, and she definitely wasn’t sure about sharing it with Ryker Black, who came from a different world and lived by a different set of morals. Ryker may have decided to trust her, but could she trust him?
Roxie only cared about her rising position in the ski rankings, but now her status at Stark and within the winter sports community is skyrocketing, whether she asked for it or not. Can she handle both while attempting a real relationship with Ryker Black? Roxie once believed that her sole purpose was proving herself on the slopes, but she’s done that once, and she’s far from satisfied. She has so much more to prove.

About the Author
Ali is a #1 Amazon sports fiction bestseller. She hails from Vermont and now lives in Colorado with her husband, boy-girl twins, and golden retriever Pancake. Ali has always loved to read, but found that there weren't enough fiction books out there featuring girl athletes. So, she decided to work on that. Like the heroines in her books, Ali is an athlete, with running and skiing her favorite sports these days. When she's not pursuing an outdoor adventure, Ali's less healthy passions include ice cream, coffee, and beer.

(Review with spoilers) Second book in the series. I loved it. Things have changed for Roxie. She is no longer an outcast. She could be part of the select group at the Academy, but she doesn't want to. She doesn't want that group to exist anymore. She wants the differences to end, the strict rules. She wants to see where her relationship with Ryker leads. And she wants to do well in championships. I love their relationship, how they take things slowly (not always). I love that they discover more about each other. I love that they miss each other. And I don't like that they hide things to each other. They both do it to protect the other, but they don't feel good. It hurts not to be honest, and they do not know how to do it. Roxie suffers for the distance between them, and she does not know how to break it. I love that people are no longer so... Closed? Distant. The barriers have been broken, they can approach whoever they want, be with whoever they want. But it's not that easy to change things. Roxie grows during the Championship, she forgets her fears. She learns to fly. She leaves behind her insecurities, but not all of them. I love Ingrid. And I didn't expect the big secret. I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
This is a good follow up to the first book. I enjoyed reading about these to characters. It was well written a good storyline. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this story!!! I loved getting more of Ryker and Roxie together in this book. It’s the second book in the series and I do recommend reading the first book before this one. This one picks up pretty much the other one leaves off. It does leave us with a little bit of a cliffhanger. Nothing too bad but they definitely drop some news and then the books done. I’ve really enjoyed both the main characters and the secondary ones. They are fully developed and all add something to the story. I love seeing them grow throughout the story! I can’t wait to read the next one and see how everything ends up! Not sure I’m going to be ready to leave Stark Springs either. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
