An unhappy wife asks her friend to "seduce" her husband so that he will be disentangled from a less desirable lover. Meanwhile she "seduces" the man the friend is fated to be with. Except by "seduce" the characters appear to mean "flirt with" and I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean that, making the book simultaneously more and less stupid than it sounds (incidentally I hate these plots where the characters have a "cunning plan" that is really very stupid, like "couple pretends to be engaged so they can really find other spouses" as if that would really attract anyone other than those creepy guys who only hit on taken women). Other than that this book is a fine way to kill a couple of hours if you like traditional regencies, and the price is nice and cheap.
