Overview

Nico met the love of his life when he was seventeen.

Immediately, he realizes that the gap in their ages is too significant to make a move on her until she's legal in the eyes of the law. So he joins the United States Navy, killing time until he can come home to her again.

But a tragedy strikes while Georgia is alone and vulnerable, and with no other recourse, Georgia leaves, disappearing without a trace.

After months of searching, he finds her, but quickly realizes that she needs the time to herself to work out her problems on her own.

So he leaves her be, knowing that if she ever felt anything for him, she'd come back home to him.

But it takes her years to return, and in those years, Nico changes, too.

He's seen too much. Done too much. Lost too much.

He lives his life as a SWAT officer for KPD, goes through the motions of everyday life, but only as half a man. And not even the good half. The US military saw to that.

When the two finally come back together, one question remains. Will she love him as the man he is now, or leave him because he's not the same man he used to be?

I love all of this author's books and have read them in chronological order. They are stand-a-lone stories but I think you will get the most enjoyment from this one if you start at least as far back as the 'Boomtown' series. That being said, to each her own, you will enjoy it nontheless. cjbevil

Double Tap by Lani Lynn Vale is the second book in her KPD Motorcycle Patrol series first which takes place further along the timeline than this series, HOWEVER, this series is off to a great start. I have come to expect sensational plot twists, the steamiest of sexy times, and the kind of insta-love that leaves you panting and I was NOT disappointed with Nico and Georgia's story. Nico has always had feelings for Georgia but due to the age difference, he waited and bided his time with her. Just when they thought their moment had come - tragedy struck. Now it's years later and Georgia is back in Kilgore for the first time since her life changed irrevocably. Is now the time for Nico and georgia to rekindle the flames of their past or has too much happened in both of their lives to make that possible. Emotional, gritty, steamy and impactful. Loved it. Enjoy!

each time Nico was brought up i previous boos, he always came across as a bit of an asshole. and really he was waiting for the one and only woman for him to finally return. then one day Georgia finally returns, and there is a new side to him. the chemistry between Nico and Georgia is hot. there is no doubt that these two are it for each other. i just couldn't put this one down. i had moments that i was on the verge of throwing my tablet, then had to just say no i need to know what is going to happen next.

When I started reading from this author the stories were a great read and like 200 pages long for $3.99.. but as new ones come out in the series the stories become less interesting, shorter, & has countable errors. This story is only 180 pages, which is expensive for $3.99.

Start with the very first series and have anticipated each and every book that follows. Each series leads into another series. They can stand alone but it is just really enjoyable to see each care to grow and interact with other characters and bringing in more intricate family in the endings

5 star The story has laughs, pain, murder, suspense, love, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Center Mass (Code 11-KPD Swat) This is Georgia and Nico’s story. Nico wanted Georgia for years but she lost part of her family and was raising her siblings.  Now she is back home and he will do everything to catch and keep her.  When danger comes for him can he protect her and stay alive at the same time?  Or is it the end of the line for them?  Or can they come out of all the danger in the end together?  Will they both live through the danger that is coming for him?   I loved these characters and also the side characters. There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

but the last few seem to be hurried a little bit. Double Tap is second in the SWAT series a spin off of her Dixie Wardens Series, and the MC series before Dixie. They all are connected a little, each series is connected more so within each other. This nook book is about 180 nook pages, plus a sneek peek of the next in the SWAT series. This story had some serious situations that brought tears to your eyes. Nico was a strong character and Georgia was also a strong female too, they were perfect for each other. Beside their age differences at the beginning to get thru, other issues soon get in their way too. The one thing I was disappointed about was Georgia never once said she "loved Nico" , never told him straight out that she loved him. Nico did repeatedly, which I found weird. Maybe this is where the rushed comes in?? Ms. Vale does awesome job with her books. She publishes them a month apart which is great, but I feel the last few leave out some details etc. All her books are great I would recommend them all. Just try to read each of the three series in their order, that would be a little bit better read, but not a must.***

As always Ms. Vale gives us a fun, sexy read .  Nico and Georgia's story was a bit more dark than her usual fare but still a must buy.

I truly enjoy reading Ms Vale's books. Her charcters are fun and the story always moves quickly. While I must admit that I enjoyed reading Center Mass a little bit more, it doesn't take away from the fact that Nico and Georgia's story was excellent. I would defiantly recommend reading this book!

Disjointed, poorly written and an overall waste of time.
