DM Wolfenden's work is unique, perceptive, compelling, with twists where you least expect them, but perfectly executed. Her short stories are worth reading again and again. The tales in this anthology are gems.

This was great. It's hard to find good thriller short stories, especially anthologies of them, and this one really delivered. More please.

Good Suspense If you enjoy suspenseful and scary stories, you’ll like reading this collection. The author skillfully builds these short stories into unique and interesting tales. Each story subtly pulls the reader into the world of the characters. Although I liked all three, my favorite was “The Box”. I’d love to see more stories from this author I enjoyed the writing style. I’m pleased short stories are making a comeback.

Reviewed by Samantha Gregory for Readers' Favorite Double Trouble: Short Story Collection by DM Wolfenden contains three short stories. The first story is about Carly, a young woman who was kidnapped by the man who killed her family, and is now being held for his murder, but they can't find the body. The Box is about two sisters who open a mysterious box left by their father. Bernie and the Beast features Bernie who has visions of a monster. The stories were good and there are a few twists along the way. The title threw me slightly, but I guess each story featured a double of sorts. The stalker in the first story had a twin, two sisters etc, so it works. DM Wolfenden has written some entertaining stories in Double Trouble. I liked the first story the best. You didn't know where it was going and I thought there was an interesting twist at the end. Overall, I enjoyed the stories. I think they could have worked as full length novels too. The stories did have a good premise and drew you in straight away, which isn't always easy to do. I think this will do quite well on the market and I would like to see more from this author in the future.
