Double Up by Gretchen Archer

"Outrageous, outlandish, and impossible to put down." – Janet Evanovich

On behalf of USA TODAY bestselling author Gretchen Archer and the entire Henery Press crew, welcome aboard flight DOUBLE UP. Fasten your seatbelts for non-stop action as stiff competition blows into town and the resulting turbulence threatens to take down the Bellissimo Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Super Secret Spy Davis Way Cole, who lives on the twenty-ninth floor of the hotel with her CEO husband and newborn twins, takes it hard. If the casino goes belly up, she won't be a stay-at-home mom because she won't have a home. Not to mention her husband won't have a job.

Davis can't find a way to stop the inevitable end of the Bellissimo life she loves until her ex-ex-mother-in-law shows up, unexpected and definitely uninvited. Davis makes the best of a bad Bea Crawford situation and recruits her for a little corporate espionage work, which would've been great, had Bea not turned out to be the world's worst spy.

Seatbacks and tray tables in their upright positions as we prepare for a bumpy ride with babies, bankruptcies, besties, and shrimp. (Shrimp?)

Enjoy your flight.

Davis Way and her sidekick Fantasy are the grown up versions of Nancy Drew and her sidekcik Beth, with a little bit of Lucy and Ethel. These are great stories with wonderful chacters. I can't wait to read the next one.

Absolutely hilarious. Wayyy better than the Stephanie Plum series. Writing is very good and the characters are hilarious and off the wall while still being totally believable. You will one the entire series.

This is probably the best spring break/summer beach read you can pack. You may think you are going in for an easy read but beware. Plot twists and characters with a depth you dont expect or see coming will have you hooked and begging for more , and all while laughing until you cry. Ive read the entire series. Ive enjoyed them all and let me tell you, they just get better and better with every page.

What a fun ride. This is the first of the series I've read, but I didn't feel like I missed a beat. The writing is fresh and lively, the characters leap off the page, and the humor is just what I needed to change things up from my usual dark-themed fare. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hilarious! Davis Way is at it again. Even being a mommy doesn't keep Davis out of trouble. The plot was cleverly written, leaving you wondering at the end just what will happen in the future( rather the next book). I could just picture Davis and Fantasy and the trouble they got into. It's almost like watching Lucy Ricardo & Ethel Mertz, or Stephanie Plum & Lula. Well done! Looking forward to the next one in the series.

DOUBLE TROUBLE - DOUBLE FUN!! Double Up (A Davis Way Crime Caper Book 6) is THE BEST OF THE BEST!! From start to finish your heart will be beating double-time as you follow Davis Way Cole's latest adventures in and around the fabulous Bellissimo Casino. Double the bundles of joy. Double the trouble the Bellissimo is in. Double the struggle of strained friendships. Double the entertainment of reading the incredibly hilarious descriptions of EVERYTHING in the way that only Gretchen Archer can describe!! Mainly, it's a wonderful story about friendships. Old, new and repurposed. I was provided an ARC by NetGalley and Henery Press but the opinion expressed here is my own.

I absolutely love Davis Way. This is my absolute favorite series from Henery Press. I had been thinking that I hadn't had my David (Davis) fix in a while and I was excited to see this one come up in Net Galley. Yay!! I do have to say though, I thought the baby thing at the beginning was getting a little too much, but just as I thought that Davis came out of the baby cloud and back to the Bellissimo! As usual, the antics are crazy. The speaker system totally had me cracking up. And in this book, Bea, the ex-mother-in-law, comes to visit her grandbabies. Never mind that they aren't her grandbabies. Since the casino is empty anyway, Davis sets her up in one of the empty condos on the 25th floor. She then uses her as a spy at the new competition casino, the reason the Bellissimo is empty. Fantasy and No Hair have jumped ship and she can't do it herself. Of course, Bea is the world's worst spy. I'll stop there and not spoil the surprise for you. However, her antics are laugh out loud funny which brings up more laugh out loud funny antics including some smelly shrimp. Okay that was just a little tease. I will say though, I did go to Waffle House shortly after finishing reading this. For some reason, I was craving one of their waffles and I have never had one before. I can honestly say that I was glad I was home when I was reading this because of the number of times that I actually laughed out loud. One could even say I was rolling on the floor even. That way the men in the white suits with their stretchers did not hear me and had no reason to take me away. I think this was one of the funniest books yet. I do have to wonder though, Eddie made an alleged cameo. However, in my reading, it was just hearsay. What does that mean for Davis? Well, this one's not even out yet and I can't wait for Davis #7. Start writing faster Gretchen! Ha! Thanks Henery Press for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

The BEST Davis Way book yet! This story is jammed packed with quirky &, what first appears, dysfunctional characters, especially surprisingly Davis. The fairly new mom of twins is a shadow of her former self. With troubles galore at the Bellissimo she teams up with her ex-ex-mother-in-law Bea to try to figure out what the hell is going on with their new neighbors- The Blitz. As the story unfolds it becomes one crazy, hilarious thrill ride after another as it jets towards the most explosive conclusion! While Bianca Sanders, who is only heard from in crazy texts she sends to "David", is missed, laughs galore are still provided by Bea. I could not put this book down, it was absolutely intoxicating. It grabbed me from the beginning & held me to the very end!! Davis Way fans will not be disappointed!
