Doubting God's Goodness: Hard Questions, Real Answers

If God is good, why doesn't he stop natural disasters? If God lets something awful happen to me, doesn't it prove he doesn't really care? If God is loving, how could anyone end up forever in Hell? In fact, why is there so much suffering and evil in the world at all?

Real, difficult questions like these plague us. Evil erupts around us and we feel powerless. But are we? Is there nothing we can do? Are there no real answers to these questions?

Yes, there are: powerful answers that will refocus, even redefine your life. Pastor and author John R. Spencer guides readers through seven hard questions about God to answers that are rooted in God's Word.

John R. Spencer brings to these questions diverse experience in law enforcement, corrections, social work, teaching, and over twenty years of pastoral ministry. This book was not written from an ivory tower but from life's trenches, including deep personal tragedy.
