About the Author

Anne Melyn Cassebaum is associate professor emerita at Elon University where she taught writing, environmental and American literature for 25 years. She serves on the board of the Haw River Assembly and lives in Alamance County, North Carolina.

I am a pale pinkish orange hue with three white stripes on my back that look like claws. My claws are long and thin, but sharp. Im shy... inless you hurt someone im loyal to. My favorite food is rabbit. I like looking up at the stars to try to see the first cats.
