About the Author

Sherry Roberts's novels combine humor and unforgettable characters as they explore issues of the day. Book of Mercy features a mother-to-be who wages a battle against censorship in her town. Maud’s House explores what happens when a small Vermont town loses its creativity. In Down Dog Diary, a yoga teacher hunts for a killer while still searching for inner peace. All are from www.osmyrrahpublishing.com.

She began writing essays as a journalist in Missouri, Vermont, and North Carolina. She wrote op-ed pieces for USA Today and has published essays and short stories in the Saint Paul Almanac. Her essays also are available on her blog, where she writes about anything from censorship to ridiculous devices to enhance your cat’s intelligence. In the lovely Minnesota summers, she grows flowers: from dahlias and geraniums to lantanas and zinnias; practices yoga and tai chi; rides her bike; and feeds the hummingbirds. In the sometimes-long, but always pretty Minnesota winters, she walks in the snow, reads by the fire (probably the latest Dennis LeHane, Louise Penny, or Jim Butcher), and bakes cookies.
