About the Author

Robert T. (Bobby) Jones Jr. was an Atlanta lawyer who also happened to become, arguable, the best golfer who ever lived. His ultimate achievement came in 1930, when he became the first and only golfer ever to win the Grand Slam in one calendar year. He promptly retired from competitive golf, returned to his law practice, and subsequently founded Augusta National Golf Club, site of the annual Masters Tournament.

Bobby Jones retired from professional golf at, I believe 26, having won every major tournament on the planet. Read this for insight into the golf swing: the short game especially. A wonderful account of one of golf's seminal talents.

What can be said other than Bobby Jones the greatest amateur golfer to play the game wrote about his career at a very young age and it is a classic. His long time friend O. B Keeler did a masterful job of working with him on the manuscript. Robert Tyre Jones left a classic book to compliment his classic swing.
