About the Author

John B. Moullette, CPL USMC-550622, served two (2) stints in the Marine Corps - one (1) in the western Pacific and China (1944-1946) with Weapons Company, First Battalion, First Marine Regiment, First Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force - Marine Forces China and the second as a Sergeant with Able Company, First Amphibious Tractor Battalion, First Marine Regiment, First Marine Division - Fleet Marine Force - Korea (1950-1952).

John left home at age 16 with a bad case of itchy feet, and wishes he had apologized to his parents for leaving home so early. He also regrets being away so often from his wife, Lillian, and their five children. It was good fortune that she was a wonderful mom and a strong bos'n. John is proud of each of his children.

He lives in southern Colorado's San Luis Valley.
