Thoroughbred is the best series ever created!! It has just the right mix of horses and other aspects of life to keep any horse loving reader enthralled. I miss Dylan and Christina- I mean, dont get me wrong, I LOVE Parker, but i wish the author had included something about him and Christina breaking up- The author just cut him out without saying why. And also, I dont really miss Katie- she was only there to play the role as Chris' best friend- and now that role is filled by Melanie. I wish Christina would stay with eventing and Sterling, but I wouldnt really mind if she starts to race (didnt they say in earlier books that shes too tall to race) But, anyway.... This book was the best---Peace out

I don't have a horse, but if I did I could never sell it, I used to have a horse it died though, but I never would sell mine. Thats for sure. Shes very selfish to do stuff like that. I gave it 2 stars cause she sold her horse

HELLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!You guys,Chris sold Sterling Dream!!!!!I mean I'm glad that there on racing again, but who could she just sell her horse!!!!I could never sell Desert Charm[my own horse]no matter what!I am glad that Parker and Crhistina are together. And another thing. Why are you all asking what happened to Ash's baby?It tells you in Cindy's Desert Adventure[thee greatest thoroughbred book in my opinion. And Katie and Dylan are sooooooooo 5 minutes ago.I'm gald their gone, they hardly even liked horses, and in the later series Katie does kinda come back but not that strong and she hardly lkes horses.I never liked Dylan anyway and am gald that Chris is finally with Parker!Well, just wanted to share that with you.And for those of you who haven't yet read 39-51 of the TB books,Cindy dose come back[thank heavens]and Sam dose to.I rated this 2 stars because even though I am gald their back on raacing[ though I LOVE eventing]the way Chris just sold Sterling like that really stinks!!!!And I really hope Cindy and Ben al-Rihiani start dating again or something.

When Christina first came into the books as a main character, I thought it was rather fun to read about her. After all, she's Ashleighs daughter, even though I dont't think they should have skipped like ten years. But when I found out she liked eventing better than racing I was dissapointed. I like eventing too, but Thoroughbred should be about racing like they've always been. That's why this book made me so happy! Not only that it was exciting and well written, but the focus was back on racing again. And I really like Star! He's Wonders foal and that makes him even more special than he already is. I loved Wonder and I think we all miss her, but I hope Star wins Kentucky Derby. That way, he'll remind everyone of his mother who was just as wonderful as him. Not that anyone will ever forget her...

I thought it was a pretty good book. Definetely not the best though. I'm glad she got together with Parker. Because Brad and Lavinia will pass their interest down to their son so it will be all good. I'm glad Christina does racing now instead of Eventing. I tihnk there should be a super special on Sammy's trip to Ireland though.Yeah what did happen to Ashleigh's 2nd baby? I wish she had had one. I wish Melanie and Kevin could be together forever. But I don't tihnk it will work. What happened to Katie and Dyllan?? I think there should be a special on the years between books #23 and #24.

The first books are about Ashleigh as a teenager but then the next are about twelve year old Christina!!!!!! Why didn't Johanna write the whole series? It's confusing. There should be a series for Ashleigh (E.g. Ashleigh's Adventures) And a series for Christina (E.g. Christina, Ashleighs Daughter)

O.K, So, we are all mixed up here! In #23, Ashleigh says that she's Pregnet again. What Happened? But, I think it's awful that Chris Sold Sterling Dream, the horse she risked all for(The Horse of her Dreams-#24)And What Happened to Dylan,Katie,Cindy,Glory,Max,and Sam? But,I think any horse lover(anyone!)Should Read it!! L/H

This book is good if you don't consider the mistakes in the whole series. It kept me reading and I couldn't stop till I got it done, however I wish they were longer to keep me reading a book for more than a single day. I would like to say AUTHORS HELLO!!!!!! you have to read the whole series again and HELLO look at all your mistakes: Christina is too big to race, Ashleigh was pregnet again (not too bad of a mistake it could be she lost it) Dylan????? At first I was disappointed and now it doesn't really matter Parker is okay, but it would be awful if they got married because of Brad and Lavinia. Altogether this book is awesome and so is the series not considering the mistakes!!!

I still love these books, but.... how could Chris sell Sterling?? She worked so hard to get her and she even gave up Legacy. She really proved that she didn't care about racing, but loved eventing. Just because of Star, she changed her mind and suddenly her dreams of being on the next winning Olympic team with Sterling disappeared, along with her best friend, her horse, and her boyfriend! What happened to Dylan? And how could she possibly give up jumping, which she loved so much?! I think the authors need to get organized

I have been reading the throughbred books since I was 10 and am now 16. I loved how Ashliegh started out with Wonder and then it eventually moved to Samantha and then Cindy, and now Christina. They have all been great charactures, but lately I've found the series confusing. I write myself and know its sometimes hard to keep your facts straight but I do believe the new authors should do a little more reserch and remember some things. Such as, in book 23, Ashliegh can not ride Honor because she's pregnant, what happened to that baby? Also as many readers have pointed out what has happened to Dylan, Katie, Cassidy and horses like Glory, Honor, and Champion? They were big charactures too, and people would like to know where they went. And theres the deal with Christine being a jockey now, it stated in a previous book that she was to tall to be a jockey and now she isn't. I think a lot of readers would have been happier if Chris had stayed with eventing and Melanie had went on to become a famous jockey. The change just happened to fast, ecspecially with Chris selling Sterling. She had traded Legacy for the mare and proven that she would rather event then race and then just turned around and sold her after all that work and time. I respect that the writers are continuing the series, I just hope that they start putting a little more effort into future books. Thank you

This book is wonderful, but Christina! what happened? What about your best friend Katie! YOu need more socialism! Its as if her only friends are Mel and Parker, Parkers ok, but Dylan was cool to! Although, why did Parker move back to Townsend Acres? he was fine at Whisperwood! Oh, well, even though MAry NEwhall Anderson screwed it up, i'm still a loyal reader! E-mail me if you want to talk horses!

Ok.... I'm confused!!! Chris gave up Sterling!!!!!! how could she?? Why??? I would of stayed with eventing she was the one who inspired me to start jumping!!! I wish this book wouldn't leave out all the other characters like, Dylan!! Wern't Dylan and Chris going out?? What happened??? I am kind of getting angry at the new authors the switched the whole story around!!! I don't even really like Parker!!!

This book was pretty good. I mean, it was exciting and most of all, had a lot of HORSES in it! But I was so sad when Chris sold Sterling! I mean, I was like, HOW COULD SHE!? I was practically crying! Well, it was still a good book! I ordered Living Legend, but I haven't got it yet! I can't wait! But yeah, what about Chris liking eventing! How can she suddenly change, especially when she's too tall? It all makes no sense! But still, an awesome book!

I love reading the books. But I think Christina should have stayed in eventing w/ Parker.

Right now I am in the middle of this book, but so far it's great! There are a couple of things I don't like though. For one thing, I wish Christina would keep jumping on Sterling, because they make an awesome pair! But another thing, Christina and Parker are like in love, but I just have one question. What in the world happened to Dylan? Chris and Dylan were so in love, and in the last couple of books, Dylan has sort of just vanished into thin air. But other than that, this is a very good book. It's got a good storyline and good characters.

It was great! I've read almost all of this series and except for the first 5 books the Wonder's Legacy(books 36-38)have been the best horse books I have read because they are sad but they almost alway end happly. The only problem i have is want happened to Pride, Cindy and Glory, Sammy, Martha and all of the other main characters?
Guest More than 1 year ago
This book was good, but what happend to Chris wanting to event. I thought she was to tall to race. I was sad when she sold sterling, but I think sterling is better off with Sam.

Where as the previous books were slightly entertaining, this one was incredibley dull, boring, and empty of detail. The weeks and years are flying by too fast, especially for books these short.Characters have disappered into nowhere, and details no longer seem to matter. The worst thing an author can do is leave loose ends, and there are so many loose ends in this series you could wrap them three times around the earth. And, as I said, these books are bland and unbelievable. I give the author props for having Star loose his first race, but Melanie should have ridden Star, not Chris. Plus, because of lack of character development, there doesn't seem ot be any bond at all between Star and Christina. In my mind I see Star as a slacker, not a horse missing his favorite rider. No detail, no elaboration, too many loose ends. Why I still read these books, I don't know.

I missed quite a few TB books, and I have one question. WHAT HAPPENED TO SAM????? it's like she's been totally wiped out of the TB world...where'd she go???? Someone please tell me!
Guest More than 1 year ago
This was a great book! Like the last three, it's been in the ole' Thoroughbred tradition and theme. Christina is SOOOOO awesome now! I love how she's so bonded to Star. I'm glad she's gone to racing. I'm glad she worked out something with Sterling and Samantha. It's a good deal for all of them. Parker and Chris make such a good couple. I'm happy to announce my all time favorite person in the series (besides Wonder) Ashleigh is back to normal. She loves Star now, which is WONDERful. I couldn't beleive how she neglected him before. Didn't she think of how Wonder would want her to treat Star? I would liked to have seen Cindy be one of the jockeys to help Christina get her licence. They can include her a little bit. Even though Cindy wasn't one of my all time favorites, I think she should own a neighboring farm and stand Glory as her stud. I would also like to see Pride Champion at least mentioned as a stallions at Whitebrook. Why couldn't Fleet Goddess be mentioned as Sassy Jazz's dam? Why don't we see Sammy at Whitebrook much? Anyway, this is a very exciting book and goes Down to the Wire. An excellent book. Keep up the good work new authors. I'm craving 'Living Legend (#39)' and 'Ultimate Risk (#40)'.

Personally, i love all thoroughbred books, i have all of them, the ashleigh series and every other thoroughbred book. But i am deeply disapointed in this last book. THe new writers don't know the facts and then proceed to write a thoroughbred book about something that totally contradicts what happens in the past. Like Christina for example, they had at least 8 books about her and eventing, now all of a sudden she wants to be a jockey and sell sterling? and to top it all off, wonder's star shouldn't even exist. In book #24, wonder had her last foal, wonder's legacy. Which she traded to get sterling! I was totally disapointed. if you want to talk about the series or horses in generall, email me at 'sublimer2000@hotmail.com' i hope joanna starts up writing them again.

I love the TB series! I read them all the time and know exactly which ones will make me cry. I just think they should mention a little more about other people and other horses. Like what happened to Cindy?? or Glory??? or Glory's Joy??? they should put a little more insite in about these things!
