Ms. Downlow is a lawyer, a mother, and a survivor of marital infidelity. She is a perfectly imperfect human being who once made the mistake of cheating in response to suspecting that her husband was having an affair. The result was unfathomable pain that stayed with her long after she ended her affair. Her writing career was born in 2009. It was a hot summer, but legal work wasn't keeping her mind off of the pain that still burned inside. Add to that her former affair partner was blowing up her phone, pretending to need legal advice, but actually wanting her back. Unable to stand the heat, she started a blog posing as that woman she once was - her alter ego, Katlynne LaSalle. She thought writing that blog would heal her, and keep her from jumping back on her former lover's... well you know. She was able to ignore his incessant phone calls, yet, she found that putting the events in blog posts did little to ease her pain. Enter the blogging community of followers who boosted her spirits with their honest comments about what they read there. Thanks to their suggestions, Ms. Downlow took those fantastical, intriguing, vivid blog posts and created an entire novel based on her affair with a celebrity, disguised in the book as X, a top hip hop artist. It's all just fiction, based on facts that are stranger than fiction. Before meeting X, Katlynne's life had been boring, vanilla, conservative, and safe - just the way she liked it. But X took her on a sexual exploration that was far from vanilla. In fact, it's best described as 31 Flavors with rainbow sprinkles. Katlynne got lost in his world, doing things and people she never thought she'd do. Ms. Downlow called that first book, "Life on the Low: Creepin' With Hip Hop," but her blog followers also liked the alternate proposed title, "Her Husband Made Her Do Him." Thanks to Amazon's liberal indie publishing rules, she was able to publish under both titles. Soon, however, she realized that readers preferred buying "Her Husband Made Her Do Him," so she retired the "Life on the Low" title. The author never intended to continue writing, but readers demanded a sequel. They just had to know what happened next in the lives of the three lead characters involved in this sizzling, nasty, dirty, yet good and romantic love triangle. Those first 2 novels made Amazon's top seller's lists for 5 years. Ms. Downlow's personal life and legal career got in the way of what she was feeling, leading her to put off ending the series the way that she wanted. She didn't like leaving her readers thirsting for more, but that's how life was for this busy accidental writer. The author always knew that she would continue the story in a third and final book.
