This is the only album I've known that I could listen to over and over and over again (and I have) and not get tired of it. Quite simply my favorite album bar none.

This collection of songs which deal with various types of addictions -- not only to cigarettes and drugs, but also to lovers past and present -- is very moving. An insightful and very addictive album!

This is a great album that will make a wonderful addition to any music collection. On "Drag" k.d. Lang sings covers of some influential song standards. Including Peggy Lee's "Don't Smoke in Bed", The Hollies' "The Air That I Breathe", Steve Miller's "The Joker" and the theme for "Valley of the Dolls." She sings with her trademark dynamic voice and the instrumentation on this album really brings out the magic of these songs and reminds us how classic they are. Other notable songs include "Smoke Dreams", "Your Smoke Screen", "My Last Cigarette" and "Smoke Rings". Overall this is a great album that has a very atmospheric retro/jazz feel that you're sure to enjoy!
