Dragon ball z volume 5 is such a good book. As soon as i finished it a wanted to buy volume 6. Volume 5 is about krilin, bulma and gohan go and search for the dragon balls in planet namek because of piccolos death. When they finally reached namek they had two surprises. One vegeta was also looking for the dragon balls and some one even more powerful called frieza was also looking for the dragon balls so he has internal life.Bulma calls down to earth to tell everyone the big surprises. With goku having all of his bones broken he waits until the senzu tree to have a senzu bean. Gohan, bulma and krilin hide in a cave so vegeta nor frieza finds them. !hope you buy the book!

"Dragon Ball Z Volume 5: Dragon Ball In Space" is one of the best volumes out of all the Dragon Ball collection. It features some of the Namek Saga, incorporating the three-way guerilla warfare between Vegeta, the Earthlings, and Lord Frieza and his minions. This is the pinnacle of the series at its height and no collection is complete without this explosive Volume 5 installment. It is entitled "Dragon Ball In Space" and collects 12 chapters. The only volume I find to be even better is Volume 6: "Battlefield Namek". I would have to say that if it were not for these specific chapters, I would not even be a Dragon Ball fan. Volume 5 features the journey to Namek, the arrival on Namek, and the betrayal of Vegeta as he blatantly goes against Lord Frieza and his henchmen, Zarbon and Dodoria. The slaughtering of the Namekian children and elders at the hands of Zarbon and Dodoria make this one of the most compelling collections of Dragon Ball manga to ever be released. Zarbon and Dodoria are not only the best supporting antagonists in Dragon Ball, but they happen to be my favorite characters in the history of all anime. Chapter 241 "Goku's Request" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 242 "The Bittersweet End" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 243 "Destination Namek" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 244 "The Mysterious Spaceship" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 245 "3... 2... 1... Lift Off!" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 246 "The Return of Vegeta" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 247 "Planet Namek, Cold and Dark" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 248 "The Mysterious Strangers" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 249 "Vegeta's True Power" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 250 "Goku Returns! Again!" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 251 "Son Goku's Spaceship" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 252 "Namekian Fear" - 9.5 out of 10 Total Score: 9.0 out of 10 or 4.5 out of 5
