This was a really good book. It wasn't too long, it wasn't too short. I don't like long books but when I got to the end, I wished it were longer so I could keep reading. It was very touching and kept me interested the entire time.

I now have a new favorite book and am going to read this again. It was recommended by a friend who said they read it twice but I never thought I would ever read a story twice until I started reading this one! It really kept me wanting to find out what was next. There is so much about this story that I loved, reading about the meteor shower and it was so detailed I really felt like I was there, the summer nights and sneaking out to meet yuor first love, country roads and old trucks, the thunderbird, the farm house the teens who live in the vermont town. The descriptions were probably the most detailed I've ever come across in a book it was liek I was there wathcing Avery and her life change as she changed and grew up. This book is for young and old people alike and men and women alike. if you ever want to feel like youv'e seen a meteor shower in the middle of july at night or feel just like a teenager agian read this book It will definitely make you feel that way. it was very real and very close to real life. you won't be able to get through it without crying. if you ever want to feel like your a teenager in the middle of summer all over again, this book will make you feel that way.

This book is engaging for readers, young and old. It touches upon so many different aspects of life and is filled with stories about nature, animals and farm life. I didn't want to put it down and once I got to the middle of the book, I couldn't. It flowed so nicely and sends a strong message about appreciation for life and all the little things we tend to take for granted each day. I thought this was a very good book told by a very strong minded young girl who learns how to be thankful for the simple things and really what's important - love & friendship. I'll share this story with my daughters soon and will be looking for more by this author.

It sends a strong message about appreciation for life and all the simple things we tend to take for granted each day. The meteor shower, town fair and swimming spot reminded me of younger days.
