Review
'Dream a little dream is a beautifully written story about a little girl called Luna, who gets caught in a bad dream. The story content offers creative and effective techniques for parents to use with their child who may be struggling with worries.
It encourages connected co-regulation interactions throughout the book. A child dealing with fears or anxieties will easily connect metaphorically with Luna's story and follow her example of integrating the various techniques to find a path through their worries.'

About the Author

Samantha Porciello has an MA in theatre for development and over the past 15 years has worked with theatres, schools and the United Nations Development Programme, to explore how storytelling and theatre can be used as a tool for healing and social change.  She is a writer, theatre maker and artistic director of 'Place to Wonder' Children's Theatre Company, who create immersive theatre and storytelling experiences in nature designed to lower anxiety and increase wellbeing. The neurobiological effect of connecting to nature in this way very often results in a decrease of anxiety levels and a surge of wellbeing among audiences. Within each story 'Place to Wonder' use creativity as a tool to translate calm down techniques in a child centred language, helping them to self regulate and process and identify emotions. Samantha wrote 'Dream a Little Dream' to translate the mindfulness tools 'Place to Wonder' use in their shows into an accessible book to empower parents and carers the use the techniques in their day to day lives.
