Glory St. Pierre never thought so many lies could hold so much truth, especially when her entire life has been one of those lies. Now that she knows who she really is, she must find a way to come to terms with it before the Djinn sorcerer Rasputin and his steel army descend down upon the human and Djinn realms, wielding magic so dark even her own Djinn lover, Irving, is wary of it.

Their only hope to save the realms are a couple of hunters and the Lords of the Djinn Order, four powerful Djinn who have remained elusive for centuries. Armed with her only granted wish, a fabulous airship, and the Djinn she loves by her side, Glory will embark on a quest to find the four lords and enlist their help. But there is a reason the lords have been in hiding, and once this tiny band of adventurers awakens them from their slumber, they will set off a chain of events that has been in the making since the beginning of time.

There is no turning back now.

Overall rating: 5 This skilled author did an amazing job keeping the momentum and suspense flowing through act 2. Another huge character graces the pages and I am being held captive by this storyline. Every pawn in this chess game has been carefully placed, and each time I think I know where each piece will move, another completely different strategy surfaces. Very grateful to have found this series and truly recommend this amazing read!

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book. Glory sets off with Djinn and her family. The family of Djinn hunters. They need to help of four lords in hiding, to defeat Rasputin. More secrets, lies and prophecies are revealed. This is book two. Read Wish for Me before this one, and preferably read one and two back to back. You might enjoy it more that way. Because I struggled with this one. Really, really struggled. I LOVED book one, and eagerly awaited book two, excited to see what would happen. But all that I loved in book one, I disliked here. Its told almost entirely again from Glory's POV in the first person. Its not a favourite of mine, but I LOVED it in book one. It really bothered me here. Why the difference?? I dunno, but it did bother me, a lot. It also has another cliff hanger. And I think this is where part of my struggle stems from. When filing this book on my currently reading shelf on Goodreads, I noticed there are 3 more books in this series. So I knew going into this one, that it wouldn't be ending here. That it carries on over three more books. Totally put me off. Will I read those three books?? I don't know. Can't say I will, or that I won't. Absolutely depends on the next point. The ONLY reason this book gets 3 stars from me is this : Irving gets a say. Its only one chapter and is again in the first person. Even though its only a short burst, I did love that he had his say. If he has his say, MORE of a say, in future books, I'll probably read them. I wanted to love this book, I really did, especially after book one, but I couldn't. I tried though, I really did. 3 stars **same worded review will appear on Goodreads, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble**
