Great story. Felt sorry for the way Talley was treated by Amy tho. Wish he could have gotten back home to farm or could have found a girl of his own on the trail to farm with....that part was sad.

I was first introduced to Rain and Amy as children in the book Lonesome River, and I couldn't wait to find out if Rain would ever come back for her. I thought the story had great potential, but it didn't deliver in the way I had hoped. But- Gavin and Eleanor had me hooked!
