First let me start by saying that Quinn Loftis is my favorite author. I've read and reread her Grey Wolves and Gypsy Healers so many times. So when I was given a chance to do an ARC, I jumped at it. I mean, heck ya!! So to start I read Dream of Me to get reacquainted with Dair and Serenity. Then I started Dream so Dark. And boy was I surprised!! I can't say enough how in love with Dair, I am. Serenity is so great!! But my favorite character?? Little Emma! I have an 8 year old daughter. So the darkness surrounding Emma and the tragedies she goes through, really hit a little too close to home for comfort. I imagined my own kiddo and at times, though details were not gone into for Emma's abuse, I had to put the book down for a bit and come back to it. But the overall message from Emma?? Astounding!! Her faith and strength in God never waver. Emma, throughout, made me want to be a better person. She was strong, smart and so witty. I could definitely understand Serenity sacrificing herself for Emma. The entire story is so attention-grabbing. The love that Dair has for Serenity is all-consuming. I couldn't help but ask my husband to be more like Dair ?. The entire dynamic of the family, and the love connections, are so smooth and easy to want to be apart of. The unwavering faith in God throughout is something to strive for. I really hope anyone who reads this, feels as attached to the characters as I do. This is a series that will strongly motivate you to try harder to be a much better person. It's got a strong family dynamic and leaves a heart pretty full. Be strong through the rough parts, get to the end and be impatient for the next book! If its anything like the first two, the third will be epic!

Wow, what a great book about the battle of good and evil. Really shows how the devil and god work. I had to put the book down a couple times because of some of the things that happen but she did it with taste. Probably wouldn't let my young daughter read but good for Jr high and up. Now for the ending.......really....oh when does the next book come out because after finishing this one at 2 am I had to lay there for a hour stunned.....talk about leave you hanging lol. Great book

I have read most of Mrs. Loftis' books, but none have resonated with me to my core like Dream So Dark. The characters are not only well written, they almost come alive right in front of you. But it's not the characters that make the book amazing, it's her choice of words and the depth of the meaning behind them. I have NEVER been so moved by a story!!

Let me just start this by saying I'm a massive Quinn fan, of all her books.. Including the first two in this series, that said this book was incredibly hard to read. It covers some painful dirty filthy topics that unfortunately in today's society need to be covered as they are relevant and very much too little spoken about, and Quinn does this beautifully and tragically tho without the full details that no body really needs, that said you still are not left untouched. I felt angry, sad, pain, love, courage, loss and heartbreak.. And through it all the usual laughter Quinn is so thoughtful to add to all of her books. This isn't a typical Quinn book but it's still lovely in all its gritty heartbreak, the characters hold layers to their personality tho Emma would be my most favourite and really she is the star of this book. If you love true to life or fantasy I think this book would suit you. Just be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster the book takes you on..thank you Quinn again for another wonderful book

Let me start out by saying that I love Quinn’s writing, so I was really excited to be able to read Dreams so Dark. I re-read the first in this series to be reminded of the characters. That is one thing that I really like about all of her books, she doesn’t really repeat a ton of the background at the beginning, so I can read them back to back without getting bored.  This book was much darker than her previous in the series, but it wasn’t so dark that it turned me off from the series. It was tough to read some of the parts of the story, but it was handled in a way that made me want to keep reading to find out what was going to happen with the characters. They have gone through some really difficult situations, but their perspective and the healing that took place after was uplifting. I love Emma! She is such a great character. I am excited to see where she goes in her life, especially with the support of everyone that loves her. The relationship between Serenity and Dair is getting more serious in this book, but I want to get to know them as a couple a little bit more. They have been involved in such intense situations, I want to see them just being together and growing as a couple. The religious overtones and themes were much heavier throughout this book than the first one, but I think it was needed to help the characters heal and grow. I was a little turned off at first, but once I got through some of the intense parts, I was glad to have that perspective in the book for the characters. All in all, I was happy with this book. I am excited to see where Emma, Serenity, Dair, and Rafael are headed in the future books!

Quinn does it again with another book you just can't seem to put down! I do recommend you read the first book in the series, Dream of Me, beforehand so you learn the characters and storyline. I have purchased and read all of Quinn's books, and am never disappointed!

This book was emotional and a heartbreaking story, but full of hope at the same time. The characters are amazing and you fall in love with all of them from the start. I read this book all at once. I couldn't put it down. There is always light in the darkness, you just have to find it. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Let me preface this review by saying Quinn covered some very hard topics in this novel. Please read the trigger warning before you venture into this sequel. This novel takes off where Dream of Me ended. Right off the bat we are reminded that for our beloved characters the worst has yet to come. The trials and tribulations they will be facing in this book will set the tone for the series. Dair and Serenity are in a new relationship, and like many new relationships they are still figuring each other out. In this new relationship it doesn't help that the devil himself, Lucifer, has decided to personally target Serenity. Unfortunately Lucifer takes great pleasure in personally tormenting out OTP. Meanwhile Emma and her warrior angel Raphael have their hands full with her grandfather Mr. Jones. Additionally we come to find that they are in a demon infested town and we know our little Emma will have to face many trials in her hopefully short time there. While there she will have to turn even more to her faith and into the arms of those she loves to survive this turning point in her life. While our OTP may be dealing with supernatural interference it is not unlike what many couples go through. Wanting to protect those you love so you withhold information, or maybe don't tell the whole truth. Which can sometimes lead down a path of miscommunication with a loved one. Even something like being attracted to someone other than your significant other and the guilt that comes with this. The evil that our beloved characters encounter in Dream So Dark is real. I think that is why this is my favorite novel of Quinn's so far. Life is all about the choices we make and how we chose to live our lives. Something so horrific happened to Emma, a young innocent child. Instead of letting that break her into a bitter horrible person she chooses to rise above it and is able to see the good in her life that much more clearly. I really loved the aspect of how Emma who is just a child is truly the strongest character in DSD. Dair an immortal being is pretty much out of commission because he is dealing with all these new feelings and is easily influenced do to his love of Serenity. While all our characters have varying degrees of faith Emma's faith is the strongest not despite what she has been through but in spite of it. I think whether or not you are a person of faith this is a great follow up novel to what promises to be Quinn's best series yet.

Quinn Loftis does it again. This book will not disappoint, and is a definite must read. Quinn will take you on an emotional rollercoaster from dark to light, happy to sad, but overall triumphant. I re-read book 1 and then book 2 in just a few days. Could not put it down except when absolutely necessary. This book does have some very dark moments that make you not want to believe that things like this happen in real life, that will steal your breath, make you cry, and overall crush your heart. But then the characters prove to he triumphant and rise from the ashes. There are religious aspects to this book, but that just made me love it even more. You can't help being drawn in to each of the characters story lines and wanting to know more. I loved this book and can't wait for the third. Good always triumphs evil. All the time God is good. I would definitely recommend this book. *I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.

I love reading Quinn´s books but this story was difficult to put down, the book is a real page turner and the story between Serenity and Dair is intense but yet so wonderful. The story is very interesting and at the same time makes you want to cry a couple of time. And on top of that other characters are to die for! Once again Ms. Quinn Loftis did it! I can´t wait for her next book! Happy reading! Eva

Fabulous book!! A little darker than some of her others and definitely make sure you read book 1 first but it will keep you on the edge of your seat! Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down until it was finished. Can’t wait for book 3

This book jumps straight in where we left off, Serenity is in hospital fighting to live after her gunshot wound, our ow so hunky sandman is beside himself with worry and evil is afoot. Now doesn't that just make you want to jump right in and start reading it for yourself?!? Quinn's books have a habit of ensnaring its readers until you have no option but to devour it, this book is no different. I laughed at some of the witty remarks made by Emma as she tries to make her guardian angel laugh and the tears streamed down my cheeks at some of the horrors she had to go through. It touches on some sensitive subjects in this story, abuse, rape and child trafficking but it is done discreetly and tastefully, highlighting not only the horrors but the hope of survival and the innocence that can still prevail. I'm not a religious person and this book certainly has the indication of a creator and his fight against Lucifer which I thought I would struggle with but in truth it is just another layer to add to the intensity of the story. Heaven Vs Hell , good Vs evil, our own human moral compass all of this is dissected at some point and it's ingenious how the author has wrapped it all up together to build a story of hope, longing love and belief. An amazing read, I highly recommend.

Quinn has created a master piece yet again. Well the story is definitely not one that is a normal story for her, it is a marvelous work of art. She brings out all the raw emotions and fully engrossed you within the story. While some of the story speaks of unimaginable pain and situations no child should be put into, it is a reminder that we have children living in that environment every day. To read the events that unfold not only to Serenity but also to Emma breaks your heart but at the same time makes you realize that love can overcome so many obstacles. I can't wait for the next book in the series to see what their stories hold as they continue to unfold.

SO DARK, SO INTENSE, SUCH STRENGTH Be forewarned, Dream So Dark is not a light read. Quinn Loftis is an outstanding author who skillfully writes her way into your heart. Usually her writing is much lighter so I was caught a bit off-guard by the deep darkness of this book. She did put a disclaimer in the book's information but I just couldn't conceive it to really be true. Dream So Dark is heart breaking and full of sorrow and hate. It is also full of love, strength and faith. I cried several times and not because a scene was so beautiful but because what was happening stole my breath with horror. While reading I found myself refusing to accept what was happening in various scenes throughout the book. I almost put down and closed the book, knowing that I would be unable to pick it back up. However, I was also so drawn to the characters in this story that I just couldn't "give up" on them. In end, I am glad that I held on "for them". The writing is so detailed and all encompassing that each scene plays like a movie right before your eyes. There is beauty in the tragedy found in various scenes throughout the book. *I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Quinn Loftis does it again. The continuation of the Dream Maker series does not disappoint. I literally read this book in a day because I didn’t want to put it down. The story between Dair and Serenity is still the focal point, yet the story takes us to different, unexpected places that really left me thinking. I won’t spoil it, but I will say that this book touched my heart in a different way than any other Quinn Loftis book. My only regret is now I have to wait for the next installment! Read this book!

AMAZING! I love Quinn Loftis! I read this book while nursing and before I was so ready to put my little one down, with this I wanted to sit and read it forever! I found myself trying to squeeze in just one more chapter all the time. All of her books just pull you and make you feel like you are living there. I had the hardest time putting this book down! I loved every second of reading it, it is a very heart jerking story. It is not for the faint of heart, The main characters go through many trails. I loved the strength that both Emma and Serenity have through out the story. It is a great story about over coming the hardships we face. Dair and Serenity are so fun to read about. I must say Emma is by far my favorite in the series. She has such spunk and tenacity. I would recommend reading the first one before this one. Quinn is an amazing author, her books have become stronger over time. I love the Grey Wolf series. Definitely read all her books you will not be disappointed. Karissa

Once again you are swept into another world. I will warn readers that the Dream of Me series is darker than some of her series such as the Grey Wolf series, the Elvin series or the Gypsy Healer series. Those series have some dark twists that grip your heart but this is darker than that and will not be for everyone. The romance and love between Serenity and Dair is beautiful and strong and heartbreaking at times. The story of Emma can be difficult to read though because of some of the afore mentioned dark parts. Child trafficking and multiple forms of child abuse are in this series which makes it darker but also more real. I think Quinn does a great job of showing faith being fire tested through adversity in this series. Ms.Loftis weaves a spell binding story once again! If you’re hooked on the series it’s worth continuing and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next though I am hoping for a little more light in the next book.

I can’t beilve Quinn has done it again y’all! Get ready to laugh, cry, and be on the edge of your seat as always! Serenity and Dair have an incredible bond that you can’t get enough of! Emma Jean has a beautiful role and faces many challenges of course you have your good and evil in this book that keeps you turning page after page. ** GUYS whenever I’m SO depressed while reading I always have a mantra that Quinn only believes in happy endings because man she gets you good sometimes! But hey that’s what makes her awesome!! Lol. Quinn, I love how you put so much of the Bible context in this book and it correlates to today’s society’s in so many different ways that young readers can relate too & even adult readers too. Thank you for doing what you do! Keep up the amazing work! I’m so thankful for you ! Everybody check out this book. You will not be disappointed -was selected for an honest review- -ARC Reader-Hannah Landers-

Quinn Loftis is an amazing creative author. “Dream So Dark” is the second in the series. This is a very well written book. There are so many things going on in Brudair and Serenity’s story ( two souls that connect). Brudair the sandman also known as Dair. It’s also Emma’s story a very intellectual 8 year old wise beyond her age. The characters are strong in their faith and belief in the creator. There is lightness and darkness, goodness and evil. The heavenly being and demons fight to change the destiny of Dare, Serenity and Emma. This book will make you laugh, cry and gasp. You need to read book one or book two will not make any sense. I’m was given this book as an ARC reader and have given my honest opinion. I started reading Quinn’s Grey Wolf series and have seen how this amazing lady has grown into an amazing author.

Amazing! At first I wasn't sure I would like it because it is different from the other books. But boy was I wrong. I LOVED IT! I couldn't wait to find out what happens at each turn. The love that Serenity and Dair have is mystical and beyond this world. Quinn really makes you think about good and evil and the world around us. Does she see something we don't? I can't wait for the next one. Please hurry!

Once again Quinn takes our emotions for another ride. You are following the lives of a few different people and the journey that they are taking. You get so involved in the story you forget what else you are doing and want to finish it. This story will make you cry a lot and you will want to scream at the author. The only issue I had was getting my mind wrapped around how calm the 8 yr old was with everything going on around them. I am around 8 yr olds and I know how they act. Then I thought about what I went thru at 8 and could understand a little. Until Next Time... Tabi
