Ten-year-old Cale lives on a farm with her mom and dad. Cale's family has not had a horse on their farm in a long time. Her dad is a trainer for top thoroughbreds for other people. When an accident happens on the track, there is suddenly a horse in Cale's family barn. This book really made me want to keep going and read more. There was never a dull moment. I loved this book so much! I think everyone that loves horses will enjoy this book. It is a fantastic book for all readers. i hope you like this book as much as I did.

This book is based on a true story. A girl named Cale wakes up one morning at 4:40 A.M. She went to the kitchen to get some coffee to wake her up but it didn¿t work. She looked at the clock on the wall and it said 4:47 A.M. Her father should be getting up to go to work. He works at a horse farm where they train horses for the big race. She waited longer until her father finally got up, but Cale was asleep at the table. Cale¿s father, Ben quietly stepped around her to get coffee. Then her mother came into the kitchen in her flannel nightgown. Ben said, ¿That it might rain.¿ Then Cale¿s mother patted her on the back and Cale woke up still half asleep. Then Cale¿s mother said, ¿That Ben has been telling Cale for months that he would take her to work with him.¿ Then Ben said, ¿That he would take her but not today.¿ Ben was half way down the driveway when something jumped in front of the truck! He saw that it was his daughter standing there staring at him defiantly. She was still in her pajamas, but she was holding a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, a pair of boots, and a baseball cap. I inspire this book because I really like horses. This book is interesting to me because the girl act almost like me. I like to watch horse races like Cale. This is a very interesting book. You should read this book because it is a great project book. You should read this book because it is interesting and it teaches you things.
