I really liked the suspenseful atmosphere of the book. There is a sense of foreboding throughout the pages. The graphics are also pretty good. The story really does not explain what happened to the missing girls in the past, or what exactly is going on at the prep school. While frustrating, it keeps you interested enought to want to purchase future volumes. I am also glad that there is very little blood in the book. Too many horror stories o. d. on the gore. Check this one out if you like suspense without the blood. Thanks!

This sounded interesting and it is. The art is pretty good, especially in between chapters. The tone is also really good and sets the story in motion. Pretty good read.

Two twin sisters Amber and Jeanie go to an all Girls School. But what they didnt know was that it was a little haunted and some girls that went to the school vanished and never came back some people dont know if their dead or if their just missing. Amber and Jeanie start having nightmares since they've been at the college they become kinda simaliar to eachohers dreams. The Vice-Princable doesnt allow TWINS into her School so the twins cant reveal about being twins. And they make a Friend named Millie and some Strange stuff happend to her. I would reccomend this book to anybody.

I finished reading volume one of The Dreaming. I was directed to her because of her art work in the Odd Thomas manga In Odd We Trust. When I looked for her other contributions, I saw she had written this 3 book series called The Dreaming. The art work was beautiful, with a dark undertone that at times was consuming, so needless to say I wanted to read it. There is no page that isn't filled with her detailed art work, beautifying effects and descriptive imagery of the characters, environment and layout of where the story is taking place. Now the story itself is promising, the author does a good job at trying to build suspense and not falling into the normal manga dialect. I am looking forward to reading volume 2 and see how the story moves from introduction suspense to actual horror action and then to the end of the story, I want to know what is causing the disappearances.

The Dreaming is an amazing horror story. Queenie Chan is fantastic in her creativity. It really dragged me into the story. It's like another dimension. I couldn't put this book down.(I even snuck it into bed when I wasn't supposed to!) I am anxious to read the rest of the series.
