Dreamweaver MX: PHP Web Developmentby Bruno Mairlot, Bruno Mairlot, Tim Green, Tim Green, Gareth Downes-Powell
This book is all about making dynamic PHP web sites with Dreamweaver MX . It covers PHP, enough to get the reader up to speed with the technology, and how to use Dreamweaver MX to produce PHP code quickly and efficiently. It's not intended to be a comprehesive PHP reference. It also covers site design and databases and SQL. It uses an example project, a hotel reservation system, that is built up through the chapters to demonstrate the concepts explained .
This book is for web professionals who want to use Dreamweaver MX to produce PHP web sites. It doesn't assume any knowledge of PHP.

These guys set up a good project. However, the book went to press (at least my copy did) without proof reading: lots of typos & syntax errors. Made it difficult to interpret. Check the publishers website for the errata. The code didn't work well (as given), so by the time you finish the book, you'll have figured out a lot of PHP. I've been through the book forwards & backwards, still working on it.
Excellent read. Very informative about the behaviour of certain servers using MySQL with PHP. A little more for the intermediate web builder due to the extesive code samples given, but still a must have for new comers to PHP scritping in Dreamweaver MX.
