Mr. King did an excellent job in his research. Westley Allan Dodd had a history of sexually molesting young boys. As he aged he tired of molestation alone. He began killing. Thanks to a young boy screaming as Dodd kidnapping became Dodd's undoing. Thanks to untiring police work they were able to stop anymore young boys from dying at the hands of the truly sick and demented Dodd. This is a book that will leave you wondering many things in the end. Very well worth the read. I don't want to give much of the story away by posting it here. You have to read it to truly understand how evil W.A. Dodd really was.

While this book is probably one of the most shocking that I have ever read due to the subject matter, it is also probably one of the most insightful and authoritative true crime tomes I have read. Westley Allan Dodd was a very sick man, but to learn what goes on inside the mind of a pedophile-turned-murderer is fascinating reading, not to mention educational. Written in a style that is difficult to put down, this is must reading for anyone with young children. It is not, however, for those who are of a squeamish nature.

One of the best written books I have ever read! Wesley Alan Dodd was one of the sickest indivduals I have ever hear of. Thank God he was captured and prosecuted. Gread read....

I was looking forward to reading this book but am sorry I spent the money to buy it. In parts it's just plain boring. The story line was convoluted and confusing.
