Have read all in series before "Dropped Dead Stitch." Must admit the dialogue was wearing thin in last few books("Whoa!" Kelly addicted to caffeine like a drug). Very seldom have I put a book down without finishing it - this time I did. From beginning I was turned off by fact that a person's rapist was not found but he turned up in a town not terribly far away running a resort type business. Then, when victim sees her rapist and points him out, no one tells authorities - just tells rapist to "stay away"from women at the get-away-resort. Then, when authorities DO get involved, Kelly tries to shield victim from having to tell authorities she had been this man's rape victim. Suddenly it was not worth my time. As I look back, I believe last few books were getting to be predictable, and I am ready to move on. Hope others find it a good read - I did not.

I am a knitter and avid mystery reader so I should really like this series. After finishing each book of this series, I was left wondering why I bothered and hoping for something better next time. The main character is bland and really undistinquished from her friends. The dialog is juvenile and the plots not so great. Description of the yarns and comaradarie of the yarn shop was nice though. Actually I didn't finish all the books. This last one offended me so, I cast it aside. Treating a brutal rapist as someone who needs a stern talking to was just too much for me.

Creeping up from behind, Nightmare Rarity put a spell on Photo Finish, turning her to stone. Next: Rainbow Dash. That kick to the face had really hurt! Dashie was fighting a Changeling in the form of Derpy. Tackling her, Rarity sent a blow to the chest on Dash. She was stunned. Dashie tryed flapping her wings, but the impact had broken them. Smiling, the Nightmare threw Rainbow into the side of the Library." Ha!" She snarled cruelly. Rarity searched for her next victim. Most were busy with Timberwolves or Changelings. She flew over to Crysilis." Okay, now im just embarrassed." The queen ssid with a smile." We totally over prepared!" The two laughed like old friends. Suddenly a dark shadow appeared over the battlefeild." Sombra! You've arriaved! Welcome to the party!" Said Crysilis.

As a knitter and embroiderer I find it great to read mystery books that include words/situations of the "trade » it's fun These stories are light and could compare to Agatha Christy :There isn't much violence nor descriptions of violence nor big blood shed That perfectly good We see enough violence on the news every day
