About the Author

I am the managing editor for Dark Moon Digest Horror Quarterly and Dark Eclipse: The Dark Moon Digest monthly e-magazine. I also help to edit their special anthologies and help convert most of their publications to e-publications. I am the single mother of two wonderful children and work full time as a bookkeeper for a real estate company, where I am also the IT tech, human resources, sales processing, coffeemaker and general gopher. During my spare time (I really have some?) I own a dance studio and performance group. I also dabble in graphic art and use that knowledge to make business cards for people who need something more creative than the norm. I like to write short stories and have been published in several anthologies. My erotic thriller is now available, so go check out Dual Harvest here on Amazon and order it. I have also decided that I am now cool enough for a blog. www.lorimichelleauthor.com. In case you can't tell, my favorite color is purple. :)

The Harvest Killer is murdering men and taking their organs. Detective Balducci, though officially removed from the case, decides to continue investigating and becomes very closely involved. A word of warning: Dual Harvest contains very graphic scenes of violence and plenty of sex m/f as well as f/f. It is a bit of a mash-up between a psychological thriller and a horror story. I really enjoyed the plot, and although it was pretty predictable, I wanted to keep reading to see if it all played out as I imagined it. I actually enjoyed the detectives' point of view and the banter between them, which seems to put me in the minority again going by the other reviews. Oh, well. However, I feel the book could have been better edited/proofread. The language used was repetitive at times (then, then, then...) and so were the thoughts of the characters. There were a lot of details provided for some parts which I felt weren't really necessary but on other parts I would have liked more. Nevertheless, it was a fun read with some very good dark and gritty elements. 3.5 stars I have received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
