About the Author

Mr. LeCuyer holds three Master’s Degrees, in Education from UC Berkeley, in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, and in Psychology from The Graduate School of Psy- chology. He was, for three years, a junior officer, USN. He was a technical editor and writer for the Physics Department of the University of California. For some twenty-five years he taught high school English in the San Francisco Bay Area, in Albany, Oakland, and San Francisco. He worked for some fifteen years as a commercial halibut and herring fisherman out of Tomales Bay and Sausalito.
Among other jobs, he has been a taxi driver, a beer truck driver, and a report writer for the Berkeley Police Department. He managed a coffee shop on Telegraph in Berkeley. He was an anti-war activist during the Vietnam era. He was married once, has a daughter, Camille Alfred, and two grandchildren, Joseph Varga, and Tania Varga, and three great grandchildren, Tezla Wil- liams, Sophie Varga, and James Varga. He presently lives in Fre- mont with poet Florence Miller. He loves them immensely.
