Dudes, the School Is Haunted! (Rotten School Series #7) by R. L. Stine, Trip Park

Joe Sweety is the worst kind of bully -- big, mean, and always ready to use his fists. Chipmunk is the shiest, clumsiest kid at Rotten School. When Chipmunk is paired with Joe on the class trip, things get ugly -- and fast! Chipmunk spills his apple juice on Joe, he barfs on Joe, and he pulls down Joe's pants. All accidents, of course. But does Joe care? No way! He is out to get Chipmunk!

Bernie Bridges can't stand to see Chipmunk, one of his Rotten House guys, bullied by big, mean Sweety. So it's payback time -- and Bernie has a spook-tacular plan. It turns out that Sweety is scared of ghosts. Petrified! Bernie decides it's time for the Haunting of Joe -- with spooky messages on the computer, green protoplasm in his room, and a body-wrap in an eerie cocoon. Will Bernie's payback work? Will it scare Joe into niceness?

About the Author

R.L. Stine began his writing career at the age of nine and has been at it ever since, becoming a bestselling author several times over. Among his many groundbreaking credits are Fear Street, the first young adult horror series, and Goosebumps, the bestselling series that made Stine the #1 bestselling author in America for three years in a row. He lives with his wife in New York City.

Trip Park grew up in Ithaca, New York, and went to college at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was first drawn to advertising. He then moved to Chicago, later New York, where he joined advertising agencies and worked on kids’ favorites including Cap’n Crunch, Gatorade, Kellogg’s, and Ronald McDonald. His children’s commercials have won numerous awards. But advertising also brought something equally as rewarding. There he got to work with some of his favorite illustrators. Watching these artists create their pieces inspired Trip Park to try his hand at illustrating himself.

Trip Park has illustrated a number of children's books including Gopher Up Your Sleeve, written by Tony Johnston, Trout, Trout, Trout! (A Fish Chant) and Ant, Ant, Ant! (An Insect Chant), both written by April Pulley Sayre. He has also developed characters and helped animate commercials for Nickelodeon, The California State Fair, Lego, and many others. When Rotten School came along, the opportunity to translate to the drawing board R.L. Stine’s cast of kids was a wonderful chance to combine his love for children’s illustration with this group of rotten students. His work can be seen at www.tripparkproductions.com.

Trip lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Laura and four children.

Hello! Aphrodite and Zeus here. And welcome to Jasper High. I'm Aphrodite captain of the cheer squad and the dance captain as well. My brother here is Zeus, captain of the football team. The map is in the next result which will tell you where everything is. Look for the important dates result. You will have to check there for parties and tryouts. Also there is a dance tonight at 8 p.m. eastern time! So get your dates and have a great time. And Zeus is in charge of putting classes together so to let him know you have enrolled just go to Zeus res 1 and let him know you have enrolled.

I read this a few years ago, and it was good, but too predictable. Also this is an easy read, because I read it in one or two hours. Recommended for anyone who likes an easy read, and for ages 7 to 10.

Bought this for my 11 year old grandson who often views reading as a chore. When he received it, he promptly began reading it and was soon laughing out loud. The goofy humor is perfect for kids and helps reading become a joy. I would recommend to any kid.
