Shelli Adler has known what she wanted since she was eleven years old.

Aiden Brooks.

But Aiden has always had other ideas. After spending the early years of his life without his dad, hockey legend Lucas Brooks, Aiden is determined not to settle for anything less than true love. When he's ready. Now he's living the fast life of an NHL bachelor. He won't give his heart to any one girl, but they can have his body—all night long.

The party to celebrate the start of the second half of the season was supposed to be no different from any other night. And when a stunning stranger approaches him, he can't seem to keep his hands off her.

The next morning, she's gone, and he's been traded to his dad's former team, the Nashville Assassins. All of his professional dreams are coming true, but he can't shake the memory of the girl from that last party. He wants to see her again. Though, after moving across the country—and without knowing her name—that dream seems like a puck destined to miss the net.

For Shelli, her night with Aiden was everything she'd ever imagined it could be, and she's sure it is all about to change for them. But for that to happen...he would have to know who she was.

The Dump was only the beginning. The Chase is worth waiting a lifetime for.

After waiting for this book for what feels like forever, I couldn't put it down!!! What an emotional roller coaster! I would be wanting to wring a character's neck one minute, then hug him the next. Toni Aleo has a way making everyone in her Assassins world feel like family! I hope she never stops writing them completely!!

I am relatively new to Toni Aleo so I thought this was a good opportunity to make a start since it is book one in her new series Nashville Assassins: Next Generation and is Aiden Brooks and Shelli Adler’s story. Shelli has wanted Aiden for as long as she can remember but Aiden is fixated on living the high life as an NHL player both on and off the rink, determined to succeed professionally before he finds the woman he wants to settle down with. A one night stand with a mysterious woman leaves him wanting more but he has no name or a way to find her. Shelli knows that what transpired between her and Aiden could be the start of something big, but since he doesn't have a clue who she is it may be rather difficult. When Aiden is traded to his father’s old team he firmly believes that he is on the rise and his professional dreams are about to become a reality. Now all he needs is to find his mystery woman. I thoroughly enjoyed Toni Aleo’s style of writing and Dump & Chase was an entertaining story which hooked me from the start and did not let me go until the end.

There is nothing I want to dump about this book! I have been waiting for Aiden's book and I couldn't have been more excited to read it. Shelli has always loved Aiden but what would happen when Aiden sees what's right in front of him? What will happen was fate steps in their path? Their chemistry was sizzling and when they are together everything is right in their world. The problem is Aiden is.. well Aiden. He's a hot shot NHL player who just wants to have fun. He's a bit jaded about relationships from when he was little but his parents ( The spectacular Lucas and Fallon) try to help him along the way and show him that he needs to find his way in life and not be afraid of love. But he willing to try? Is Shelli worth his career and his heart? Aside from Shelli and Aiden, Toni managed to write one of my all time favorite scenes with Lucas, Shea and Aiden. I didn't think I could love Shea and Lucas anymore but trust me.. you will want to read that scene over and over again. An when Fallon and Elli throw a welcoming home party it's a Assassin's reunion that you will love. Our friend Nico from Juicy rebound also makes an appearance and I have a feeling we will hearing more of him in the future. This book was a great way to start a new generation of characters for us to love. Between the Adler's, Brooks and other children, I can't wait to read everything. This book also let's us catch us up with all our favorite past Assassin's. I can't wait to see what Toni has in store for us next. I know whatever she has in store it will have us laughing on minute and then crying the next. Great job Toni! Do yourself a favor and read this book. If you're like me.. you won't want to put it down!

A new spin off series from the Nashville Assassins and what a way to start as we embark on the next generation, if this book is anything to go by this will certainly be a hit series. I love everything about the Assassins and I was so excited to see we were getting the next generation and this book did not disappoint it gave me all the feels all over again because I was not only back with my old loves I also got some new loves ....... Sheli and Aiden they have known each other all their life’s but Aiden has never looked at Sheli the way she looks at him, she has crushed on the hockey star from the moment they met. Now they are both in their twenties and both home in Nashville will Aiden finally see what’s right in front of him. I normally expect the hero of Toni Aleo’s books to steal the show but not in this one Sheli is the heroine we would all love to be, she is strong, sassy, confident and she knows what she wants in life and you can tell she is Elle Adler’s daughter. Words can’t describe how this book made me feel, I loved every line, I loved being back with the group of characters I have come to think of as friends and this story made me nostalgic for the past series I love so much but that doesn’t mean you need to read that series to enjoy this book but I’m sure once you join the fans of the Nashville Assassins there will be no stopping you. Great read.

Shelli has been in love with Aiden since she was a child. He has never noticed her. Until now. Can she walk away without her heart being left behind? Aiden had no idea he would be traded to the team where team owner is the mom of the woman he is currently interested in. Can he trust her after all that has happened? With their lives and their families so intertwined it is a scare that even the most ready bachelor would run from. This series is a continuation of great characters from the original Nashville Assassins series. They make for some really hot cameos. I loved the family dynamic. The characters felt very real and their story was solid. I cannot wait to see who else we get to read about in this new series! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.

WHAT A PHENOMENAL BEGINNING TO THE NEXT GENERATION OF ASSASSINS!!! O! M! G!!!! I freaking loved this story. I have been a fan of Toni Aleo’s Assassin’s as well as ALL the side stories from the very first book. I cannot tell you how many times I have listened (Audible) to the whole series. I FLOVE this series that much. Now, reading about the next generation of Assassins…..SIGH!!! Shelli Adler is the eldest daughter of Shea Adler and Elli Fisher from the first book of the Assassins Series, Taking Shots. Aiden Brooks is the son of Lucas Brooks and Fallon Parker from book 2, Trying to Score. Shelli has been in love with Aiden Brooks since she was 11 years old. Her only problem, Aiden does not see her the same way. But, when she gets to go to a party that Aiden is hosting, and they hook up. Shelli is in 7th heaven. She knows that Aiden has finally seen her, Shelli Adler. Well, that was until Aiden asks what…. Sorry ladies, no spoilers. Shelli is heartbroken, and she is done with New York and is moving back home to Nashville. Aiden is following in his father’s hockey footsteps and had become a darn fine player playing for the New York Rangers. However, his dream is to move home and play for the team his father Lucas Brooks played for, the Nashville Assassins. Then, the day after the party where he met “Grace”, man, he can’t stop thinking about her… He gets the call, he has been traded to the Assassins…. Oh, I forgot to mention Shelli’s full name, Shelli Grace Adler… I LOVED watching Shelli turn Aiden for a total 180 regarding relationships, and the “L-word”. You see, Aiden is a MAJOR commitment-phobe!!! I love Aiden James Brooks to death, but I wanted to smack him upside his head SOOOOOO many times. I understand his feelings, but I still wanted to smack him. He was hurting Shelli!!!! Ladies, to better understand why he has his hang ups, you really should read his parents book, Trying to Score. It was absolutely wonderful reading about some of the characters from past books. I miss some of them so very much. Darn, I think I need to go back and listen to the whole series again…. Thank you for reading my review. I was gifted with an early digital copy of this wonderful book, but I cannot wait to get my hands on the paperback I bought so I can reread this wonderful book. Kudos Ms. Aleo, in my opinion, you have a winner with this book!!!
