Oh my gosh! You have most definitely got to try this book! It's amazingly written and this author knows what her readers like! Reading this book was like watching an incredible new movie. Better than watching a movie, in fact. Each page turn brings humor, passionate characters (and some characters that aren't so passionate, for sure!) and leaves the reader with a satisfaction beyond words. Five Books does not come close to doing this book justice. From werewolves to angels, Ryan knows what her readers want and just how to deliver it! I am highly anxious to read more of Dante's Circle books, especially Ambrose's story! Now that's another hawt angel for another review.......oh and did I mention I adore the cover on this book? (Why are you still sitting there? Go grab a copy now! :)

I found this book to be a great read. I developed sympathy for all of the books characters. Even though this book stands on its own, (you don't need to read any other books to get whats going on and I didn't feel cheated at the end. Some writers only give half of the book, selling it as a full novel. That only ticks me off!) This author didn't dissapoint! The only real criticism is that it ended too soon for me. The story that was told in this book, as a segment of a series, was complete. I just learned the like these people so much that I want to know what happens to them next! The premise of this story was unique. It isn't one that i have read before. It gives a new twist to the paranormal, magical world around humans. This book was free and found on my Nook, at the Barnes &Noble website. I appreciate the opportunity to read it, as this is a new author to me. I might never have discovered her, otherwise. I know I will buy the books that follow this one., and more by this author.

This is the 1st of the Dante's Circle books and I will confess, I wanted to cry when it was over and I realized I had to wait for the next book. Shade is an angel and Lily is a scientist. This book has some twists and turns and not all is as it seems. I would highly recommend this book along with anything else that Carrie Ann Ryan has written. She's in my top 5 of favorite authors and really writes good stuff. Now I'm just counting down the time until book 2 is out and of course I will reread Shade and Lily's story before I read the next one. I'd definitely set time aside to just sit, relax and read.

Dust of My Wings had a straightforward plot: Angels live among unsuspecting humans, and their existence must remain a secret at all costs. When a Lily, a lab tech and a human poses a threat to that secret, the angel warrior Shade is dispatched to make sure she can't go through with her job. But Shade falls in love with her. Their happiness is short-lived when a traitor amongst the angels threatens the peace but also targets Lily. However, Lily has a secret of her own. This was my first book by Ms Ryan, and I found many aspects of it very enjoyable. The plot may not have been anything new, but it was definitely engaging, and all the different characters pulled me in and made me care for them. Strangely enough, I found myself liking the secondary characters, Faith and Ambrose, more than the main characters. Not that Shade wasn't a great hero, but I loved the mysterious leader of the warrior angels. Shade and Lily definitely had chemistry, and the plot made the pacing of their attraction believable, as did their unique connection. The love scenes were hot, especially my particular favorite - up in the air. I am just not a fan of heroines who are very insecure, or who get melodramatic that they inadvertently put themselves in grave danger. When she finds out the truth about Shade's reason for being on earth in the first place, she quickly draws the right conclusion, but allows her anger to overrule logic. I did like the fact that she was destined to be different, but I still giggle over the name of her particular species. There were a few grammar mistakes, but overall the story was engaging and made for a fun read. I look forward to the next book and Ambrose's story.

I received a copy of this book for review and could not put it down. I was hooked from the very first page. With so many secondary characters, you usually have the issue of characters not being fully developed. That was not the case here. Even the secondary characters are awesome. Definitely worth the read. And I'll most assuredly be following not just this series, but this author as well.

As an warrior angel Shade had many responsibilities. Keep the secret of the paranormal community and keep other angels from spilling that secret. When another angel messes up, Shade delivers punishment. He receives a summons from the council to fix a problem. A women has obtained a vile of dust. Not just any dust and not just any women. The women is a scientist, whose job it is to find out what it is and where it comes from. The problem is, it comes from Shades wings. He doesn't know how she has gotten the dust but he has to find out why and fix the problem. Lily Banner, a scientist is working as a technician in a lab, has just been given a vile of dust.. Her boss is a jerk has told her she has to figure out what it is. On her off time she plays board games in the park and hangs with her friends at Dante;s bar. One afternoon she meets someone. A man approaches her and sees her alone waiting for a friend in the park. They play a couple games and get to know each other. Shade knows that he must be careful and find out what she knows and destroy the sample, but is drawn to this women like no other. Lily is extremely attracted to Shade and decides a date may be fun. So they meet at Dante's Bar where Lily's friends can also meet Shade. As they women are waiting and drinking together, lightening strikes the bar. No one is hurt just banged up and bruised. Lily soon realised something has changed. Something in her is different. Shade and best friend Ambrose show up to the bar and know something happened. Shade and Lily, becoming closer as time goes on and Shade soon realises Lily is more than just human. How can that be because she was just a human when they met? As Shade and Ambrose try to figure out how Lily has been changed, how the dust got into Lily's hands, and try to keep her is the dark to keep her safe because Shade is falling in love. Lilly is trying to figure out what the dust is, getting sick because something happened when the lightening hit, and falling in love. With all this going on they soon realise someone in the council or high in the ranks of the angels is a traitor and is setting up Lilly to be killed. Who would want her killed and why? This a 1st book in the Dante's circle series by Carrie Ann Ryan. In this story Shade and Lily are so drawn towards each other and there is so much working against them. The lightening strike was very cool and unexpected. it changes Lily and the other women. It starts and explains what and who are in the books to come. The story was very well written and has action galore. The love story is touching and you are really rooting for the two to get together. A great start to a new series. I am really looking forward to see what is in store for Ambrose. Awesome start to what will be a great series.

It was a little slow at the very beginning, but picked up pretty quickly. I love the fact that it isn't about the same old shifters. Can't wait to find out what happens to the rest of the gang.

Shade Griffin is a hot as all get out sexy protective warrior angel in trouble for accidentally leaving his angel dust where it can fall into the hands of a human. Lily Banner is a sexy, sweet, supper organized lab tech and is completely fascinated by a strange blue dust she recently found and a sexy stranger she just ran into. So entertaining could not put it down.

I generally like Carrie Ann Ryan's books. This isn't one that I count amoung those. I kind of found it cheesy and not in a good way. I also didn't think it was as well written as her other novels.

Dust of My Wings is Book 1 in Carrie Ann Ryan's Dante's Circle series. I've avoided this series, not because Ms. Ryan isn't a superb writer (she most certainly is!) but because I've always just gravitated away from paranormal that didn't involve werewolves or vampires. Oh My Gosh! This book smacked me upside the head. I don't know what I was thinking. It was AMAZING! Shade and Lily were phenomenal! This story was filled to the brim with action and the heat rolled off the pages. I still don't really have a clue what the heck a brownie is but that's okay. I love Lily anyway. I'm keeping this review short and sweet because I'm dying to dive into Book 2.

Dust of my Wings is book one in the Dante's Circle series. It follows Shade and Lily. Lily is a "lab rat" who is studying a strange dust. Shade is an angel who has been sent to stop her and cover up it's existence. Especially as it's his dust! Then something truly strange happens. There is a weird storm and Lily and her friend's are all hit by lightning. This book is just the first in a full story arc and I loved it! Lily and Shade are hot together. They manage to get through all the twists and turns and realize what is truly important. I loved the side characters (and future book characters!) and the way they all interact with each other. How no matter what happens they are "family" and stick together. A great first book in a series and you will want to read all the rest as well!

I think my favorite thing about Dust of My Wings and the lore behind Shade is what an angel is. They aren't creatures sent by god, they aren't inherently good - they are supernatural creatures that have a bit of a reputation. It was quite refreshing to see them this way, and I really loved their society and the descriptions of their home. Shade is in trouble, though. He's left some angel dust laying around and a human had her hands on it now. The council is breathing down his neck telling him to fix it - by whatever means necessary. And he really hopes it doesn't get that far, especially one he meets the little neat freak, Lily. Lily was amazing - I loved all her little habits. And - well, not to give too much away, but when her paranormal side comes out - it's perfect, 100% perfect! It was a brilliant touch that really went far with me. My biggest problem with the story was in the side details. Some of them just didn't quite get explained enough for me, or they just weren't flushed out to the point that they really made a lot of sense. There were a couple details that seemed a bit out of place - I'm hoping they come into play later. There was also a missing spark between Shade and Lily. For destined mates, they just didn't seem to click with me.

Dante's Circle Book One. When Shade is summoned to before the Elders of his angelic race to clean up the dust his wings shed, he is sent to a human woman working at a lab. He falls for her almost immediately. Later that night, a freak lightning strike hits Lily and her friends in the bar Dante's Circle. After being together, Lily and Shade discover she is actually a supernatural creature, too. Now they must find out how to survive with another angel on the warpath. Audio Review: Gregory Salinas narrates with an enthusiastic dramatization that can be a bit over-the-top at times. He uses a breathy voice for most of the book, even in everyday scenes without a hint of romance. If you enjoy the drama, this will be a great narration. If you're looking for a new supernatural series with non-religious angels, dragons and other supernaturals this is the book for you!

I have to give author Carrie Ann Ryan mad props for exploring a new unique take on paranormal romance. I really loved getting to see how magic lives in all of us and being a part of how it awakens in Lily. I especially loved Lily and Shade together. A sexy winged creature that rides a motorcycle, what could be hotter? Maybe say their love life? Oh yes. I mean have you seen the cover? Yum. There's plenty of complications that build up the anticipation for suspense and a happy ending. I enjoyed getting to be a part of the journey that Lily and Shade take as they both find their way in Dust of my Wings. I can't wait to see what happens next. Come on Ambrose!

The story would be more enthrawling if there wasn't so much sexual inner dialog. It is rediculous and detracts from the plot right from the beginning before the main characters even met. I'm 150 pages in and bored.

Let me start by saying I LOVE Carrie Ann Ryan and I am a huge fan of hers, so when I was asked to read the Dante's Circle series for an event for Literal Addiction, I was honored to do so. I have read her Redwood Series and her Holiday Series but never got to this one because I thought if I feel in love with this series too than I was going to offically become a stalker of Carrie Ann's and become creepy. :) I have never read anything like this, the mix of so many supernatural species peeked my curiosity and had me thinking how Carrie Ann is going to build this world and have it mesh well. I enjoyed the setup of the world in the Dante's Circle series and I can see this series going for the long run. I love how the title of the series clicked for me and realized that Book 1 was setting up the rest in the series nicely. I do want to say the Kindle version of Dust of My Wings had some typos and was missing some punctuation that through me off a little bit. It's hard sometimes for me to turn off my inner editor. But it did not deter me from the story or the plot. I felt that in the beginning it was a little slow starting and by the end it was a little rushed. I think because I have read all of Carrie Ann's other series I know what to expect from her as a writer and I know how her series grow with each book, so I was a little disappointed with the pace of book 1 overall. The plot and characters overall had me enthralled thou and I felt that she did a great job with Lily and her character development, in the end all the little "compulsions" made sense. I do hope that throughout the rest of the novels in this series we get to see Lily blossom as I'm sure she is going to. Shade came right out of my fantasies, the dark hair, blue eyes....Mmm! I love how Carrie Ann showed us his torment of being torn between his duty and his heart. A few things I am excited about regarding this series as a whole; I want to see where Carrie Ann is going to take this world, I know what she is capable of and I know the reader is in for a treat with this one. I also want to know more about Dante himself. Overall I was pleased with Dust of My Wings, Book 1 in Carrie Ann Ryan's Dante's Circle series and give it 4 out of 5, I am excited to see what happens next.

This is a great start to a series. I really liked Lily and Shade they had a lot of chemistry and Lily is stronger than she thinks she is even when her world becomes disorganized. Shade is there to fix a little dust issue in order to protect secrets of the paranormal world. This book has a bit of everything (good vs evil, who did it, What is going to happen next, and of course sexy scenes).  There were strong secondary characters, it was sweet where it needed to be, the characters grew and the ending leaves room for the next book in the series. Carrie Ann has set the stage for a wonderful series thanks to a little bit of freak lightning and a group of girlfriends who are in for a bit of change. Was glad i bought this book and Her Three Wishes(book 2) at the same time.

This is the first book in the Dante's Circle Series. A group of seven woman are going to have more than thing strange that will happen to them after a freak storm hits each of them with a bolt of lightening... [ I personally had a slight problem with the word Brownie when the author mentioned about but was describing a goddess. To me that just confused me and made it a challenge to comprehend what she writing about, yes I know it's fiction and imaginations from one person to another but at least to this reader if you are going to mention a mythical creature then described as another, it becomes a mind boggler moment..
