Personally, I really liked this movie. I went to go see it when it was in theaters and the experiance was absolutely amazing. The best way to watch this movies is at night, lights out, and the sound all the way up. Some scenes get a little bloody, the effects are very nice (espeacially the lighting), the sets are great, and you get attached to the characters. The ending may be easy to predict, but it is still a great movie, with a good ending.

I saw this movie late at night with some friends and after we left the theatre I asked one of them to spend the night. It freaked me out that much. I thought it was really well done and the ending is very sad.The vampires were pretty creepy and it doesn't make me want to visit Alaska.

I LOVE this movie! I am a huge horror fan, and this totally hits the spot. Plenty of blood... great vampires... good characters... just wish there was more in depth history to the vamps... where they came from... blah blah blah... I REALLY wish they would make a sequal!

First off, I was looking forward to a movie that had a new take on vampires. The setting was different, the action was different, but the vampires were so cliched I thought they belonged in the 'Lost Boys' or 'Underworld'. If you can get over how overly dramatic they were--big teeth, rips into prey like rabid dog, screeching, and black eyes- then you can enjoy the rest of the movie. It moves along pretty quickly, so you won't get bored listening to dialogue (though I don't mind dialogue). There is plenty of action, a few jump out scenes and your average 'stupid human prey walks right into trap scenes'. All in all I wish this movie had been more different than a dozen others I have seen. I saw the ending coming a mile away. Still if you like cliches just fine and want some action and thrills this is the movie for you, just don't expect anything newer then the title.

Watching 30 days of night i would say made me jump out of my seat. There were times that i thought that the movie was not that scary at all. I would say that the movie would just make you jump out of your seat a lot and that the movie is very bloody. I think that this movie had more blood and guts than any other movie like Blade or any Dawn of the Dead movies.

the previews were interesting and the reviews not that good but i'm glad in a way that it wasn't the usual pg-13 horror films that have been coming out through out 2008. anyway, never heard of the graphic novel but sounded interesting. its the story of a snowy town and different but very weird vampires. some things i like were the location i don't know why i love the snowy setting like in the thing or lotr and of course josh hartnett, glad he's in a movie and particulary horror, one of my favorites of his in that genre was of course the faculty and he was okay in halloween h20. so yeah it was a little different kind of take on the vampire i guess which people thought was cool and so the villian vampire was actually creepy. glad that there were different actors that you don't recognize cept maybe some. check this out at decide what you think of it.

I love scary movies and don't get spooked easily, but I had trouble sleeping after watching this one. Josh Hartnett was pretty good, but I wasn't too thrilled with Melissa George - her character came off a little dull. Loved the vampires!
