Wow! I was very impressed with the storytelling and the acting. You can imagine how difficult it would be to weave five generations of woman's stories together, but this movie is quite successful in doing so. Also good for the history buff who is interested in the historical events that took place during the twentieth century. It also shows how many hardships women have had to overcome.

I watched this in my Women's Lit. class and it was entertaining. Some of the acting is overdramatic and unintentionally funny in places but the plot is strong.
