Overview

Adventures in Babysitting

Chris Columbus' charming comedy Adventures in Babysitting comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Although there are no supplemental materials of any consequence, the inexpensive list price makes this disc a great purchase for anyone looking for a comedy the whole family can enjoy.

One of my all time favorites, next to other classics like Goonies, etc. This one from the story to the performances, and that soundtrack. The nostalgia!

I think I've seen this movie at least 100 times and I never get tired of it. I think it is so funny and I love Darryl! (ya think?) I always have wanted to have an exciting babysitting job like Chris has, but so far it's been typical.

Great movie. Elizabeth Shue gives a great performance. I loved the soundtrack to this movie but I can't find it anywhere. I loved Albert Collins and the song they all did - Remember Noone leaves here without singing the blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watching this movie with my girlfriends is one of my fondest memories as a teenager. Elizabeth Shue gives an awesome performance, including the classic lip-sync in the opening scene. George Newbern is the 'knight in shining armor' - we could hardly believe when he was then the groom in 'Father of the Bride'. Penelope Ann Miller - another classic performance, great one liners. And you gotta love when Elizabeth Shue sings the blues! Also great performance by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes in the frat house scene. Definitely one to make you smile!
