Cult film director Robert Wilson shifts his attentions from the screen to the stage for this highly-stylized Théâtre Royale de la Monnaie - De Munt production of Guiseppe Verdi's beloved classic that takes inspiration from Japanese Noth theater to instill the timeless work with a Zen-like quality that offers a whole new dimension to the visually placid but emotionally tempestuous drama. Norma Fantani heads-up a production that also offers the music of the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of La Monnaie - De Munt as performed under the direction of conductor Kazushi Ono.
