I've owned the DVD for about 2 months (just to be sure I didn't jump in the gun in recommending it). It's still great. I still think about fitting it in several times a week. I even prefer it to the 'gym yoga' workouts (a class environment is usually a bonus, but most of the instructors are novices with a lot of time and money to afford sudden certification). This video is great for those with some sort of experience with yoga, and who like mindful breathing rather than a pump-you-up-burn-your-fat workout--in which case I'd recommend kickboxing or something more physical--obviously. Yoga Mind & Body gives back to yoga what newest trends and underqualified instructors have begun to take away from it.

This is a superb yoga session. I've been concentrating on yoga for 6 months now, and though I've done all these poses before, they felt different here. The day after doing this work-out, I really felt it. Also, if you're interested in the calming effects of yoga, this session is the best of the videos out there right now (I have many).

I love this video. My catalog of yoga videos is quite large, I keep coming back to this one. The techniques are simple and relaxed. Erich takes you slowly through the workout. He gives you time to learn the moves and for your body to adjust into each pose. You feel the power of each stretch he teaches you. His voice is soothing and many times I have fallen asleep at the end of this video (he ends the video with meditation while in pose). Over the years I have purchased many yoga videos and have only given this one as gifts to friends and family members. Now if they would only put this on DVD!

Love this particular practice most (and have tried many!).Erich Schiffmann's instruction is soothing and adequately paced for beginners. I use this so much I KEEP BURNING OUT TAPES! If this can be found on DVD would really like to purchase!

As a beginner, I was a little overawed with the actors' flexibility, and wish they offered alternatives, but overall it is a relaxing, yet challenging experience.

I have been using this tape for a couple of years. It has a continuous workout that is easy to follow (I don't find myself fastforwarding the tape through instructional gaps or awkward positions). It is a good 40-45 minutes of flowing, continuous, gentle yoga that adjusts my muscles and skeleton after sitting all day. The routine moves from the floor to standing back to the floor so any temptation to stop is minimized. The sound track is soothing and not obtrusive. The constant movement from one pose to the other makes the workout seem shorter and that is why I use this tape for midweek exercise. It is a staple in my yoga pantry.

A wonderful tape no matter what level you are on. The postures are challenging enough to keep you interested but not so difficult that you want to quit. Even if you don't like yoga buy it for the exquisite scenery.

I have used several Yoga videos and this is definately the best of the best! The atmosphere is tranquil, the pace is slow and smoothe, and the instruction is right on the money. I would strongly stuggest this to anyone, especially a newbie. The poses start simple and get more advanced. It's a tape that allows you to grow as you get more limbre.
