Angels & Demons

Angels and Demons re-teams director Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks for the sequel to their international blockbuster adaptation of Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code. Although the book Angels and Demons was written before the novel The Da Vinci Code, the movie transpires after the events of the earlier movie. Hanks stars as professor Robert Langdon, the most respected symbologist in the United States, who uses his knowledge in order to decode a symbol on the skin of a murder victim. The clues put him on the trail of an international conspiracy involving the Catholic Church. Ewan McGregor and Ayelet Zurer also star in the Sony Pictures production.

"Illuminati". What was this secret organization and why did it exist? Were members like Galileo anti-religion? Do Bernini's glorious sculptures really mark the Illuminati's secret path to St Peter's? Professor Robert Lagdon is, once more, using his knowledge of secret organizations, religion and symbols to unravel the truth. This is a thoughtful, fast-paced film that, when viewed with clear mind & thoughtful conscience, persuades that the history of the Illuminati, the Vatican, science and religion is a mixture of fact and fiction. Delightful in its telling, provoking in it's historical, science and religious premise, "Angels & Demons" is superb.

Many people argue that this story is better than the Da Vinci Code. It is at least a close second.

This movie is completely unpredictable with exciting plot twists that will take you totally off guard. You will be engrossed by the story line from the very beginning and will find the action fast paced. Tom Hanks does not disappoint in his role as the scholarly sleuth. If you like movies like the Bourne Supremacy, then you'll surely enjoy Angels and Demons.

Most of the time when they make a movie from a book there are a lot of inconsistences. This movie followed the book pretty close. My husband did not read the book, but still enjoyed the movie a lot. We are going to watch it again so he can pick up some of the things he missed the first time.
